BAR JUNISO — Restaurant in Tokyo

We were staying at The Knot Hotel and were looking for somewhere close at 22:00 on a weeknight.

After a couple of minutes of random google map searching I found this bar so we visited.

The bar is very inconspicuous from the street, however when you enter you immediately noticed the ambience.

My wife and I discussed whisky options with the owner and tried several different whisky’s, all of which we enjoyed.

The only negative comment is that prices between what we paid and what is shown in the menu is not identical. However, I’ve still given 5 stars.

Also. If you’re a non-smoker (as my wife and I are), be aware this bar has smoking.

We wanted to go to a bar for drinks in the evening, and stumbled upon this gem. Initially, we were reluctant to enter since it is located in a basement. The inside however felt classy, not very big in space, with cool decor and nice leather chairs. A wide selection of whiskey and Cuban cigars was made available to us. Smoking was allowed. This was our first time trying Japanese whiskey and we enjoyed it quite a lot. Service was also very attentive and drinks were fairly priced, but bear in mind that there is a cover charge of JPY1000 per person.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at this bar. It’s very upscale and welcoming. The drinks are reasonably priced and the owner is such a great person. This bar was walking distance from our hotel and it’s a shame we found it a couple days before heading home. Definitely a must if you’re in the area. There’s a huge variety of drinks to choice from and the bartender really knows his stuff. Gave us great recommendations.
