My husband was running the Tokyo marathon so we made reservations here for the night before so he could have a filling, carb filled meal. I had heard getting Italian in Japan could be either really great or really awful. Luckily for us, we found an exceptional spot. The restaurant is small and homey. We did the Prix fixed menu and it was spot on. The beginning plate of mozzarella, veggies and prosciutto was a nice touch. The Bolognese was fabulous and a bit spicy which was great for me, because I love a little kick on my palate. I had the short rib which was tender as could be and did not disappoint. If we lived in Shinjuku we’d be back at least once a week. We had the caprese salad, carbonara and homemade apple pie.
