Blue Bottle Coffee Toyosu Park Cafe — Restaurant in Tokyo

One of my go-to coffee shop is Blue Bottle Coffee. My favorite is oat latte (iced in summer and hot in winter).

Their staff and barista are very serious with their craft and are professionals. Although it can get monotonous and transactional at times, it’s quite ok. It’s not like I came to make friends 😅

This Blue Bottle Coffee location in particular is ok. It gets too crowded in weekends and holidays so it’s tough luck to find seats.

The wait can also get quite long considering the crowd of customers. I just wished they called out my number as soon as my order was ready. It apparently sat on the counter while I was literally in front of the counter waiting for it. I didn’t want to assume it was mine because it might have been other people’s order. After a long while, I had to come up and ask about it before it was handed to me by a barista with a ‘I’m very busy, let’s get this over with’ look. And sadly, the coffee tasted a bit sad. Initially, I wanted to visit the cafe because of its architecture, the view upon the park. Naturally when I arrived there I wanted to treat myself for a coffee and so I had a cappuccino OAT and a cinnamon waffle! The cappuccino not bad really and the cinnamon waffle was good but somehow not how I expected it would taste.. ( would I eat it again? Not really.. I would suggest eating something more moist - LIKE a cheesecake )😇
