Bubba Gump Shrimp Tokyo — Restaurant in Tokyo

I've always wanted to visit this place because i love the movie but I was disappointed overall. The interior is very nice and casual and comfortable. Service is fine but not amazing. And I was disappointed mainly because if the price of the food. 2 people, 2 mains and 2 bottomless drinks and a dessert cost over 8,000 yen. The food was okay and very average. I definitely expected more shrimp. As the fish I ordered didn't even have a name but I think it might've been mackeral. That fish was dry. Most of the staff can speak English well. And they have a weird system when you need the attention if the staff you have to.flip a sign which is bothersome at the best of times. The location is very cool in the heart of Tokyo some area. Overall I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for the over-pricing and low quality of food. There are much better and cheaper restaurants in Tokyo that offer more value...

Large theme restaurant with emphasis on seafood. Based on the Forrest Gump movie. Recommended for parties or for those looking for American-style fast casual fare.

Was unable to make a reservation in time for our party of 8 but got a table by lining up just before they opened.

The kids loved the children's menu selections while the adults enjoyed the full menu. Service was quick and friendly.

My jambalaya was spicy and rich while the blueberry lemonade was nicely tart.

We got a tasty giant "chocolate chip cookie" covered in ice cream and whipped cream to share for dessert.

The birthday kid got a complimentary soft serve with a candle. The server took our group photo and printed it out for us.

This is one of the only table service restaurants in the park to remain after 2023's Tokyo Dome ownership change and subsequent renovation. It seems there's a reason for that. We'll be back for next...

Food is as expected. The staff are friendly, too friendly at times, and the service is efficient. The atmosphere is nice as well. Bathroom needs to be cleaned more regularly.

Side note:

I would be careful of the membership they offer, though. They entice you to join and say, if you join now, you'll get this percentage for free when you checkout today, etc etc. What's unnoticeable on the fine print is, they will charge you a monthly fee for that. The server skillfully distracts you, too, so you miss that detail on what you're signing up for.

Don't be made into a sucker like me. I'm sure they were all high-fiving at the back when they fooled me in signing up.

I didn't notice the subscription charges for months, so the "discount" I received after I paid for the meal became mute. They got it all back and some lol

Oh well... Life...
