Overrated. The service and the interior are nice. The menu and the food are a bit underwhelming. We ordered jellyfish, char siu, bamboo fungus with mushrooms, half peking duck, sweet sour pork and mango pudding. The best dishes of the night are the bamboo fungus with mushrooms and mango pudding. The bamboo fungus with mushrooms are very delicious and fresh. The jellyfish is very basic and not crispy. The char siu is very dry due to the leanness of the cut. Not juicy and not fresh at all. The sweet sour pork again is dry and the batter is hard. Sweet sour pork is usually pork belly cubes - don’t understand why they chose thin pork slices. The vinegar in sweet sour sauce is a tad too tangy. The peking duck is tasty and they do the wraps for you on a side board which is good service but putting the prawn crackers in a steam cage is not a very good idea as they soften real quick. It is also a bit overpriced - 9k for 8 pieces of duck skin (with pancakes, cucumber, scallions, sauce, prawn crackers). It’s not common to see peking duck served with prawn crackers. What lifts the overall impression is the mango pudding. It is full of mango chunks and very flavourful. With three drinks ordered separately this meal is 32,400 yen. Tbh I did expect better...

They brought out a beautiful half duck to show us by the table and said they would carve it in the kitchen, which was the first red flag.... when we received the pancakes, they were already pre made and had nothing but skin inside, no duck pieces as you would expect. The remainder of the duck was to be served in the stir-fry - when it came out, the pieces of duck, although nice, were not the same colour or Peking style that the original duck was. Some were stuck together with no flavouring in between, suggesting they had been frozen first and then thrown in the pan. Although it tasted ok , i don't like...

Order: dim sum cart, tan-tan noodles, almond jelly.
Tip: regular customers often come for just the tan-tan noodles, which may not be listed on the menu. Tan-tan noodles: spicy broth, creamy with the addition of peanut butter and/or sesame paste.
Will review lunch experience, as I almost exclusively go for lunch, which has the dim sum cart. Have been going for many years, and quality always high; however, so are the prices. Dinner prices are another level. Service is always very good, and atmosphere is very sophisticated. Although, we often go with children. (Private rooms also available.)
Restaurant is pricey, so this is not an everyday spot. However, we’ll...
