If you are looking for a outstanding gastronomic experience then this restaurant is for you. You will definitely not leave here hungry nor disappointed. The pricing is in line with Michelin three star restaurants so do expect to pay somewhere between 350-400 USD for the food and water. The wine list pricing ahas a huge range from 250 USD to 3000 USD and is where the meal can get really expensive. I have eaten at L’atelier before and this restaurant is so much better
Food: 4.75 stars Service: 5 stars Environment: 4.25 stars Overall: 4.75 stars Recommendations: Wagyu beef: you have to order the beef. If you are deciding between the seafood and meat do go with the meat. Mille-Feuille, mango roll cake, coconut cream petit four
The dinner menu included 9 courses and a cheese course, dessert trey, and petit fours. The real standouts were Joel Robuchon’s Le Cavier Imperial, and the Wagyu beef.
Le cavier imperial is Joel Robuchon’s signature dish and after eating it I can see why. The dish looks immaculate and tastes delicious. Cavier is paired with pulled crab meat in a seafood jelly. The flavors mesh perfectly together and was surprisingly not too salty.
Wagyu beef comes from the Matsuya prefecture. The beef has a real richness and marbling. Wagyu Beef sometimes is really toothsome and has a strange texture. However, this beef was cooked perfectly and really tasted amazing. Definitely one of the best pieces of steak I ever had. The beef is paired with a truffle butter and a black pepper sauce. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.
After the set menu is finished comes the cheese cart, dessert cart and petit fours. Definitely save some room for the dessert cart and have the Mille-Feuille. This is one of the best ones I have ever had. I found the hard cheeses to be much better than the soft cheese but if you like stinky (aged) cheese then you may wan to try the Brie or...
Read moreMy dear friends, let me tell you about the most extraordinary dining experience I ever had at Joel Robuchon Restaurant Ebisu, a sublime French restaurant in Tokyo. It was a feast for the senses, a symphony of flavors, a celebration of life.
The restaurant is situated in a splendid castle-like building in Ebisu Garden Place, a sophisticated shopping and dining complex. The inside is magnificent and refined, with glittering chandeliers, velvet curtains, and fine china. The service is impeccable, with courteous and knowledgeable staff who make you feel welcome and pampered.
The menu offers different courses, from six to seventeen, depending on how hungry and adventurous you are. We chose the degustation menu (¥55,000), which included a selection of appetizers, fish, meat, cheese, and desserts. The food was divine, with a perfect balance of flavors, textures, and presentation. Every dish was a delight for the senses, from the foie gras terrine with figs and port wine sauce to the roasted lamb with thyme and garlic. The cheese selection was marvelous, with fresh non-pasteurized cheeses from France that were rich and creamy. The dessert selection was equally marvelous, with a variety of cakes, pastries, and ice creams that satisfied our sweet tooth.
The sommelier was very helpful in choosing the wines to match each course. He explained the origin and characteristics of each wine, and how they complemented the food. We enjoyed a range of wines from different regions and grapes, such as Chablis, Pinot Noir, and Sauternes.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at Joel Robuchon Restaurant Ebisu. It was a gastronomic adventure that we will never forget. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves French cuisine and wants to treat themselves to a...
Read moreOne of my favorite Michelin dining experiences to date! Fantastic service with great wine pairings and of course, amazing food. Everything was perfect from the detail in the presentation of their foods to each of the carts that came around. We only wished we had more space in our stomachs! Each dish was decadent to say the least and we loved pretty much everything they served! Their ingredients are some of the freshest and tastiest locally sourced ingredients around. I love that it’s still french cuisine but without too much of the heavy flavor profile as to match the palates of the Japanese. We spent about $450/$500USD a person including a glass of wine each, and it was worth every penny! They even sent us off with a freshly baked dessert! Easy to get reservations for online or through a concierge!
A great no frills smash burger that’s the perfect meaty meal to fill you up. I love that they have a vegetarian option for those that are vegetarian or would rather not eat meat and still eat a burger. Their impossible patties are every bit as good as their beef ones! I usually get a double cheeseburger and an order of their impossible fries and man does it hit the spot! Their house sauce is also AMAZING so definitely get it if you like your burgers with sauce. Their impossible fries have a patty (can be made with an impossible patty too!) cheese and is doused with their house sauce and grilled onions. Overall, it’s a quick turn around with each burger made to order, great service, but limited seating! It’s quite greasy but sometimes it’s just what you need!
