Bit of a bittersweet, rollercoaster experience here.
First they lost our reservation for Christmas lunch at 12pm and tried to slot us in to 2pm which was obviously 2 hours later. They seem to operated 2 hour slots for festive buffet. So you gotta actually rush through the meal to meet the time close at 1.45. - Down
All you can drink is JPY 2500 and includes really nice beverages. - Up
Food selection apart from the wonderfully juicy Turkey and Roast Pork didn’t have a lot to write home about. - Down
Dessert selection was amazing. No fruits but you won’t have time for fruits anyway. - Up
We ordered our last drinks around 1.25pm thinking that will take us through to the walk out deadline of 1.45pm. Drinks didn’t come for 15 mins but the waitress who took the order came back with an apology saying it will be further delayed. Shocking for 4 glasses of red wine. We said ok that’s fine because that will give us more time to finish the dessert. With no internal coordination, the floor manager comes to kick us out. We politely explained we haven’t got our last drink. This guy seems to be a graduate from the kabukicho Izakaya, he brings a quarter of a red wine bottle and says “little is ok” starts pouring little taster shots in to the existing wine glasses, to which I protest and he disappears to get new glasses. This followed by the restaurant manager coming and telling us he really needs to table left a bitter after taste on a celebratory meal with friends. - Double Down.
It’s fine to have time rules. That should be advertised or mentioned during reservations. It’s fine to also ask guests to leave in 1.45 mins but if you are running a Izakaya style deal, make sure it’s an Izakaya style service also. They should have a last order round done by a dedicated waiter for the drinks. This is a simple maneuver that will let the guests know it’s the last lap on the buffet marathon and also ensure they are happy with the last drinks.
Disclaimer :- I am a Marriott platinum Elite and Westin is my favorite brand across the subbrands, stayed in them all over the world and had our wedding party at the beautiful Westin Bali. This has been the only disappointing Westin experience that I can recall, hence the three stars.
I’d put it down to understaffing during a festive buffet but the manager attitudes towards a service issue at the start and end tells me they are going to repeat this in the years to come unless the GM reads this...

Visited again to try the seasonal strawberry dessert buffet and it was as impressive as the first visit. Desserts were visually stunning and very tasty; plenty of sweet strawberries were used. Staffs were also polite and attentive when we wanted to order drinks and have the empty plates cleared on our table.

Made a reservation online for the dessert buffet which included a welcome sparkling wine. There were over 30 different petit size desserts using seasonal autumn ingredients such as chestnut, pumpkin, sweet potato, pear and apple. They were all high quality and delicious, wish I had the stomach to try all of them. There was also some hot food, soup, noodle, pizza, bread and salad which taste ok. Coffee and tea was included in the buffet which was nice and much needed with all the sweets. Overall an amazing dessert buffet for the price,...
Read moreLocated in the lobby of the Westin hotel in Ebisu Gardens. We decided to re-visit the Terrace for their all-you-eat lunch buffet that we tried many years ago.
We reserved online for a weekday and managed to get a 28% discount of their usual 7,000 yen per person for 90mins package. At this promo, we felt it was a good offer. A bit expensive for what it is at full price.
The location is great and the venue and staff are baby/kid friendly. Food and drink selection is decent, choice of appetizers and mains felt a bit light but drink and dessert selection was very good.
If you're looking to get maximum value, there are other hotel options in Tokyo that might offer better options but if you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere where the staff don't rush you, and while food options might be a bit limited (apart from desserts), but overall quality is good then...
