The same dish in Malaysia could have many version of authenticity. There's 2 types of Malaysian when it comes to food: Not-authentic-to-my-standard and For-overseas-standard. We came with a heart of the later and there's no regrets. The portion is regular for 1 pax, we came in 2 and was delighted to try the 3rd serving.
I saw great efforts, Japanese detail-oriented, from cutlery to menu and ingredients decisions. Honestly, much authentic than some Malaysian-run restaurants here in Tokyo. Speaking from a KL-grown with 10 years in Penang, this is my choice of pre-natal food education since we are staying in Tokyo.
