We come from Melbourne, Australia which is the city with the largest population of Italians outside of Italy.
We’ve even won the worlds best Margherita.
The pizza here was better than most in our city; and just as good as the best.
The tiramisu is the best we’ve ever had.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is the best we’ve ever seen.
Do yourself a favour and take a seat on the right 4 seats at the bar and watch the chef prepare. The staff here are very skilled, from the “record scratch stretch” style of preparing the pizza base which I hadn’t seen before, to the way they pre-salt the oven before sliding the pizza off the peel into the oven so you get bursts of salty, crunchy deliciousness in every slice.
They have mastered the art of pizza while keeping their own unique style - from a beautiful herby flavour of the Nduja, to the ridiculously crunchy base the chef achieves by pre-heating the spot he slides the pizza on to with coals every single time. And then it’s served to you immediately.
We were visiting Tokyo for only 5 days, and I’ve been thinking about that pizza for the past 3 days.
I must visit again before I leave.

Read moreOne of the best dough I had in Japan, with quality ingredients on top, simple but far better than overrated and more expensive places.
I especially recommend it on lunch time for the remarkable cost-performance of ¥1,100 for a salad (delicious garlic yogurt seasoning), a pizza (4 daily choice, both with or without meat) and a drink (espresso available ☺️).
Just be ready to sometime wait, as the place is as popular as quite small (6 tables for 2 and a 6 seats counter).
Closed on Mondays.
Edited on May 2nd: I tried the Weekends a couple of time with the family, and while a little pricier than the weekdays noon formula, the pizzas had some extra ingredients making them even more delicious!
Wine menu is really nice too (decanter selected wine is very decent), and so are the antipasti while the excellent homemade tiramisu should content anyone to close...
Read moreI only hope the staff on this night (13/11/2024) (dd/mm/yyyy) see this… That pizza was fab.. it was perfect . I am on the last leg of my trip to Japan and was craving pizza tonight.. i found this place a 5 minute walk from my accom in Gotanda. There were a handful of customers in at 10pm, an hour before close so i didn’t feel too bad about going in so late. The staff didn’t seem to speak English and I don't speak Japanese but the vibe was friendly and chill. I had a full Margherita pizza and a cola for under 2000jpy. It hit the spot. Thank you to the 3 pizza angel men. …will they hate me if i go...
