Curry King Ichigaya — Restaurant in Tokyo

『王様』という店名に完全に負けているカレーが提供されるレストランです。市ヶ谷駅周辺にはいくつか飲食店がありますが、確実に真っ先にお勧めできるお店ではありません。 注文カウンターであらかじめ注文し、料理が出来上がるとスタッフが席まで運んでくれます。食後は専用の返却カウンターに食器等を戻す必要があります。 ビーフやチキンなどの肉類が主体のトッピングが豊富ですが、野菜や卵などのトッピング類も用意されています。カレーは『中辛』と『辛口』の2種類のみで、正直『中辛』ではあまり辛さを感じません（逆に辛いものが苦手な人であれば丁度いいかもしれません）。辛さをより強めるためのスパイスが、各席に配置されています。 ライス・カレールー・トッピング共に量は少なく、しかもトッピングは貧相な盛り付けでした。トッピングの種類によってはリーズナブルな値段で食べられると思います。カレールーに至ってはこの店ならではの特徴的な味が感じられず、レトルトカレーの範囲を超えていない、という印象でした。 スタッフの接客対応は可もなく不可もなく、といった感じで、特に失礼な対応はされませんでした。

This restaurant serves curry that is completely outdone by its name, "The King". There are several restaurants in the Ichigaya Station area, but this is certainly not the first place I would recommend. You can order in advance at the order counter, and when your dish is ready, the staff will bring it to your seat. After eating, you must return your dishes and other items to the special return counter. There is a wide variety of meat-based toppings such as beef and chicken, but toppings such as vegetables and eggs are also available. There are only two types of curry: "medium spicy" and "hot." To be honest, the "medium spicy" curry is not very spicy (on the other hand, if you do not like spicy food, it may be just right for you). Spices to enhance the spiciness are placed at each seat. The quantity of both rice, curry and toppings were small, and the toppings were poorly arranged. I think the toppings are reasonably priced, depending on the type of toppings. The curry roux did not have the distinctive flavor of this restaurant and did not exceed the range of retort-packed curry. The staff's customer service was neither good nor bad, and they were not...

乗り換えで市ヶ谷に降りたついでに「カレーの王様 市ヶ谷店」でランチ。実は初めての訪問。

注文したのは人気のカツカレー。カツが揚げたてでサクサク！ルーも程よくスパイシーで、ご飯との相性抜群。これは…うまい！初めて“吐いた”…（美味しさのあまり）。

店員さんは外国人の方でしたが、日本語がとても流暢で対応もスムーズ。「マヨネーズありますか？」と聞いたら無かったけど、それでも全然おいしかったです。

ボリュームもあって、コスパ良し。市ヶ谷でのサク飯におすすめの一軒です！

I stopped by King of Curry Ichigaya during a transfer at Ichigaya Station — it was my first time at the restaurant.

I ordered the recommended pork cutlet curry. The cutlet was freshly fried and super crispy, paired with a nice, mildly spicy curry sauce. So good I nearly lost my words… (I “threw up” — in a good way 😂).

The staff, though non-Japanese, spoke fluent Japanese and provided smooth, polite service. I asked if they had mayonnaise — they didn’t, but the curry was delicious enough without it.

Great value and perfect for a quick, satisfying meal if you’re passing through Ichigaya!

If you want cheap curry from a restaurant that tastes like $hit, this is THE place. Highly recommended if you don’t have taste. It was a learning experience coming here, so now every other curry shop in Ichigaya seems decent thanks to this shop. I don’t have pictures because i lost...
