Dippalace Mita — Restaurant in Tokyo

We were invited here for a birthday party. We’ve visited before and even left good reviews, but this time the experience was a complete letdown.

Despite the event being pre-planned, basic things like water weren’t served unless repeatedly requested. The staff were rude and even passed comments at guests. Mango lassi was brought to each table only after 2–3 glasses were held back and had to be repeatedly asked for.

The service was rushed and inconsiderate. . Starters had barely finished when the main course was pushed onto the table, regardless of whether guests were seated. The food itself was cold and disappointing, the parota was hard like papad, the rice was cold, and overall quality has clearly deteriorated compared to our previous visits.

To make matters worse, at the end they turned off the AC to make guests uncomfortable and push them to leave, instead of politely communicating with the host.

Very poor service, and a terrible attitude. As the saying goes: if you can’t smile, don’t open a shop. Definitely not going back, and I would strongly caution anyone considering hosting...

I had one of the worst dining experiences at this Indo-Thai restaurant during a pre-planned party. Despite everything being booked in advance, the service was appalling. The servers were extremely rude, unapproachable, and tried to act over smart rather than focusing on serving guests properly. Even the simplest requests like water were delayed, sometimes brought after repeated reminders. Crowd management was chaotic and at one point the AC was switched off, leaving the entire restaurant unbearably hot. The food, which should have been served fresh, arrived cold by the time it reached our table. Hosting an event here was a complete disaster, and it was clear the staff had no sense of hospitality or professionalism. I frequently visit this restaurant, and it’s always a great experience. The atmosphere is super relaxed, and the food is consistently delicious. Recently, my colleagues surprised me with a birthday celebration here, and the staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. Despite their busy schedule, they arranged seating for our group of 10-15 people, ensuring we could all sit together comfortably.
