I feel uncomfortable about this cafe because the dogs didn’t behave like regular dogs who have loving homes. I had a dog once and she was not like this. The dogs here were only interested in food and could not interact with us or each other in any other way. They swarmed like they were starving. They did not want to be petted at all. I don’t know what else we expected, since it’s just not possible to form a deep bond with a dog through such superficial means. I hope that the dogs get to retire and live a life where they can go to the beach or even run in a big field. They shouldn’t be conditioned to live a life like this, without a meaningful bond with a best friend or a fulfilling life.

I went to an owl cafe in Harajuku and it was worlds apart. The cafe staff there taught us about the different owls and their personalities. They were also careful to tell us how the owls liked being treated. The owls weren’t starving and they seemed relaxed, happy and energetic. The owls were also trained to do tricks and the cafe controlled the number of people per time slot so the experience wouldn’t be overwhelming for the animals. That’s what an ethical animal cafe...

Are you animal lover? Or at least do you consider yourself not cruel? Then please do NOT visit such animal cafés. The animals are treated very poorly for your fun. We observed the staff holding the poor dog for at least 2 hours and waving its paw to everyone passing. The dog was barely moving, it was obviously sedated. This is animal cruelty. Look up for articles about ethicality of this business in Asia. They sedate them, deprivate from food and water to have less excrements, several animals die through the year.

You may think "what can i do, i am simple person/tourist just passing by, i cant change the mentality or the laws here". But you can. Simply by not supporting this businees with your wallet. Or by leaving a comment to inform more ppl.

Can you still pet an animal if you dont have opportunity to have one or your child is begging to pet one? YES there are correct ways to do this. Do the research to chose the cafe with domestical animals (dogs and cats) from the shelters treated properly. Unfortunatelly, cafes with wild animals (owl, racoon etc) can never...

Lots of varieties in dogs but they only come near you if you have food. Though this is something that cannot be helped, their desperation for getting food almost seems as if they are being starved. Some of the dogs also urinated on the floor. They also handed us a platter of treats, saying that the dogs wearing clothings can only eat cheese due to food allergies, but when they handed us the plate, the cheese was literally touching the liquid treat, which the dog was allergic to. There were many kids as well who might not be able to pay close attention to which dog was wearing clothing or not, so I can’t help but feel that stricter and more proper regulations should be made with dogs and their food allergies. Overall, this cafe just doesn’t seem to care enough about the wellbeing of the dogs, I’m not trying to hate on anybody, but I just want the owners to read my message and act accordingly to their customer’s feedbacks as there seems to be many other people that have similar...

not sure what that review was about the dog being sedated but the puppy that the staff brought down to welcome us into the store was NOT SEDATED, very lively and very cute!! the staff also wasnt that calculative of the time in and out and even gave us an extra few mins after rounding off 🙏 we really enjoyed our time here with many cute dogs that were really gentle when feeding them and even when jumping onto you when you have food, and the staff also cane over to interact with us which made some dogs come over to us as they were attached to the staff more naturally, we were able to ask them more questions about the dogs while getting a chance to pet the dogs. The frenchie Chanko-san was also very cute and climbed onto my lap willingly!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🤩🤩🤩 would gladly visit again

The only good thing about this place is that the dogs were cute. As soon as you walk in it reeks of feet and as you walk in deeper it smells like dog food and when you enter it smells like pee and wet dog. The dogs were peeing everywhere. They overcharge and there is obvious animal abuse. The juice wasn't even cold. It all felt really dirty and we could not sit down. There was dog hair all over the "cleaned" slippers. My mother who can handle barf and poop said she was disgusted by the stench. This is clearly a tourist trap. There are much better places just around the corner
