Went in to order two pizzas and very carefully and patiently explained it to the gentleman serving me at the cash register. He didn't understand English very well (if at all), but I felt bad for him and explained things as slowly and carefully as I could.
After about 15 minutes, we get one pizza, but not the second one. Several minutes pass, and a new employee comes to us asking us if we are having a problem with our order. I tell her that I ordered two pizzas and she takes a look at the receipt and she says that I only ordered one. She asks me in a very arrogant tone and a rude smile if I ordered the pizzas in English. I told her yes, and she says that clearly, the employee didn't understand, despite my efforts.
Basically, if you don't speak fluent Japanese, don't bother giving this restaurant business. They clearly don't serve your kind there, as I found unfortunately.
