Ebisu Yakiniku Kintan — Restaurant in Tokyo

I have never eaten raw meat until I came to Kintan. We ordered a beef combo for the table that had this raw meat dish with peanuts on top and it was SO GOOD!! I don't even like tongue, but I ate the tongue here and it was super delicious. The only thing I didn't like in our combo was the steak, it was more chewy than I expected with all the great meats we already had prior. The A5 MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, I wish we had more of that meat. They give you a Korean fusion appetizer/side dish plate that has kimchee and salad which was good (also comforting being that I'm Korean) overall experience was wonderful. Came out to about $100/person but the meat quality was worth it. I would definitely come back again. Oh another impressive thing to note is the door man who takes your coat, remembers which coat is yours when you leave without you even having to tell him! Keep in mind the restaurant is packed with lots of people but without any hesitation he pulls the correct coat out for each...

Hum… big disappointment. This restaurant is not cheap and I had a friend’s recommendation. Overall, HARD NO TO GO BACK.

To celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, I booked a table two weeks in advance. Due to his work and typhoon, I felt bad but needed to postpone the event twice and called them twice. It seemed the guy over the phone sounded really understandable and changed the date. However, when I called the restaurant on the day because I was running late, they told me there is no my name in the list. We both repeated the final date over the call but somehow it was gone… it should not happen in service industry, especially for celebration event. Their turnaround was quick so appreciated but with a different brunch.

Plus, their entree was good but meats were not impressive...

Came for the lunch set! It’s a higher-end atmosphere that’s great for a date.

My wife’s wagyu kiritoshi set was quite delicious, my set was decent - but was not a huge fan of the sweetness of the sauce. The quality of the cuts for the price is decent, but nothing to write home about (ie there are other lunch sets nearby that I would recommend over). Would recommend getting at least medium to higher-end cuts (ie I do not think the lower end cuts are worth it at all).

Overall: Glad I tried it and would come again for lunch / dinner and try to order the higher-end cuts. From this one experience, I would say 4 stars - I could see myself coming back, but not a strong...
