This is one of my go-to places whenever I feel homesick. It is a very small establishment (less then 20 seats). The food is legit, and the staff speak fairly good Italian (I had an entire conversation with one of the waiters. This is not strictly required, but I did find it remarkable). I had pizza, which was good, although definitely different from the pizza I normally have back in Italy (I like very thin, slightly chewy crust). By any means, pizza varies from region to region and Elio's version was delicious. The pasta dishes are also delicious, and I recommend an antipasto to start. The food was really amazing, the staff were super friendly, our waiter even putting up with my terrible Japanese, even though he spoke English (and Italian I imagine), which was nice of him. They have a fancier branch that also looks amazing, but for a more casual experience in a small out of the way restaurant with lots of charm, I cannot recommend this place more.
We had the burrata, the liver paste with fig, mortadella panini and spicy spaghetti with ricotta cheese (forgot the name), and finished up the amazing meal with a "chocolate sausage" which has orange peel and nuts in it....
Read moreIt was nice and enjoyeble, it is a bit to expensive. Especially for the amount we got then again the ravioly was handmade but getting only 8 raviolis for 1600 yen is a bit expensive. The service was pretty quick, in one case a bit to quick where we wanted to eat the pasta sauce with the bread but the plate was promptly removed from the table without asking.
