Absolutely recommend. We are from the Bay Area and this is also 3rd visit to Japan so are not new to sushi but this was a wow omakase experience. We were some of the first people to visit his newest location, it’s about a 10min walk from the nearest metro and clear signage outside. Truly omakase as Chef Saisho decides what to feed you based on what’s freshest that day at the market, so even compared to review 2 months ago we had some different offerings. Snow crab, whelk, oysters l, scallop (right out of the shell) and a WHOLE fresh abalone each that was the softest most delicious I’ve ever had. Laid back chef but don’t let this fool you, he’s had 30 years doing this so serious about serving you the best the market has to offer. Only a few pictures below, note caviar was especially generous that night to celebrate our bday. We were seated that night with a Japanese real estate tycoon and his wife (they have been coming to him for years) and we’re treated the same. So glad we chose this place over others in Ginza, it will not disappoint. Easy to book on his site, he and apprentice speak English and welcome foreigners. We even got a little gift for our bday! Will come back next time we...
Read moreThis was by far the worst omakase sushi I've ever had. The restaurant's cleanliness was questionable from the start, with foul-smelling hand towels. The sushi itself was not fresh, especially the oyster, which tasted so bad I had to spit it out. The Wagyu and uni dish, which the chef claimed to have a patent for, was completely underwhelming and tasteless.
The tuna, supposedly flown in from Boston, was cut from what seemed like the worst part of the fish. The chef also appeared to cross-contaminate the different fish during preparation, making me feel uneasy about the food's safety. By the end of the meal, I was actively looking for a pharmacy for a parasitic cleanse, as I felt genuinely sick.
Despite the chef’s friendly demeanor, I found his constant talking during the meal distracting, and I noticed that he wasn’t very careful while handling the food. I do not enjoy other people’s spit in my food. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for...

They were able to describe all the produce as well as make casual conversations which only enhanced the vibe, we got friendly with all the guests and in the end it was like a restaurant filled with good friends! Food was all fresh, delicious and well presented, we got to watch the master at work catering for all the guests and all the while keeping engaged with everyone, both in English and Japanese. He also very last minute received a big order which we saw him produce 5 delicious take out trays in record time! Towards the end he surprised me with a lights out birthday surprise with this crazy good cheese cake which was made by a famous shop in ginza and he answered my wish with a live French horn version of silent night. Turns out he plays with the Berlin symphony orchestra pre covid on the side. Would I return the next...
