Finding this hotel is also a credit to Sweet Potato. To be honest, I hate Internet celebrity hotels, and 80% of sweet potatoes are. But this one really didn't disappoint me.First of all, the location is excellent. Whether you choose Shinjuku, Shibuya or Ginza in Tokyo, it is not the central area. Ginza is in the east and Shinjuku is in the west, and the traffic between the two may take half an hour. However, this magical Kio-cho is just a little to the west of the Imperial Palace, which is about the center of Tokyo, and according to incomplete statistics, there should be four to five subway lines passing by, and it is very close to two subway stations. Therefore, no matter where you go from here, you can almost get there in 20 minutes without changing trains. At least Ginza, Roppongi, Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ueno, Asakusa can be reached directly. Even places like Nakameguro, Kagurazaka, and Iidabashi have no pressure.Second, the place is really quiet and beautiful. If you've been to Shinjuku and Shibuya at night, you know it. Whether it's Monday or Saturday, there are too many people... It's really a headache to watch. You can walk to the Imperial Palace next to this place when you get up in the morning. You will see that almost all the marathon runners in Tokyo are running around the Imperial Palace on weekends. This scene is called a spectacular sight. It's a bit like Shanghai Century Park but it's definitely a high-end version. The circle of the Imperial Palace is about 5K, but the scenery around this circle is really beautiful. You can pass Chidorigafuchi, Imperial Palace East Gyoen, Imperial Palace Gaien, Hibiya Park. Almost all of them are cherry blossom viewing holy places in the cherry blossom season. I really envy the runners in Tokyo. There are almost no cars and noisy people in the Imperial Palace on weekend mornings except for running. This scene makes people happy.Third, the amazing thing is that Akasaka, which is just across the river from the hotel, is a place where Tokyo’s food scene is fiercely fought. There are no restaurants without queues. There is still the possibility of walking in and having a good dinner, at least on weekdays. So eating is not a problem.Fourth, the hotel itself: checkin is on the 36th floor, and the hotel is from the 30-36th floor. There is a bar at 35 and you can see the Tokyo Tower outside the window at night. The rooms are all floor-to-ceiling windows, and the scenery is very good. The hotel cannot see the Tokyo Tower... For example, the room I live in is facing the west. The night view at night is also beautiful. And when you get up in the morning, when the weather is good, if you are lucky, you can see the white snow top of Mount Fuji. A little bit. But what a huge surprise. see picture.Everyone mentioned the fifth breakfast, which is delicious. Of course, I think Japanese hotels have good breakfasts. The hotels I stayed at were hundreds or thousands a night, and I was very satisfied with the breakfast.Sixth - Room Facilities. I find it impeccable. The shower room and the bed have always been my concern. First of all the shower door is pushed inwards, which is already 95 minutes. Rarely have I seen such a spacious shower. Although I don't care about the brand of spare parts. But I still like the Chemin taste of Byredo. Now all the hotels are white tea and white moss, which is too boring. Needless to say, the bed is too big... 2.2m should be there. Two adults and a child within 1.2 meters can sleep together without any pressure. I can only sleep about 1/4 of the place every night by myself. And there is also a bay window under the floor-to-ceiling windows where someone can sleep... If the child is too big to sleep well, can she sleep there? I don't know if the hotel charges for adding a quilt. Also, the details of many rooms will not be expanded one by one. The rooms are also huge. I think that this hotel is definitely worth the price of more than 3,000 during the cherry blossom season. The cherry blossom season at the 18-ping Hotel in Tokyo is...
Read moreThe Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho is a fabulous hotel, one of the best hotels that I have stayed in.
During my recent trip to Tokyo, I stayed at the hotel on 2 separate bookings, one was for a Deluxe twin, city view room and the other was a Deluxe king, city view room.
The hotel is located on the top floors of the Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho building. The lobby is on the 35th floor while the other hotel floors are on the floors below.
A taxi ride from Tokyo station to the hotel took 10 minutes. The taxi drops you off inside of the building parking area where the hotel vehicle entrance is (2nd floor of the building).
The Akasaka-Mitsuke metro station is a short walk from the hotel’s building entrance, across ‘Benkei Bridge’.
The hotel opened in 2016 and is very sleek and modern. On arrival on the 35th floor, you’re greeted with the tremendous view of the Tokyo skyline and the hotel bar. The bar at night looks amazing and has some very good drinks and food. I especially liked the bar ‘snacks’ offered. The Mojito cocktail was excellent. The lobby area next to the reception desk is also an inviting spot to sit, relax and take in the views below.
There is a small but nice gift shop where you can buy Japanese themed souvenirs, as well as hotel items.
The service received from the staff throughout my stay was the finest service that I have ever received in a hotel. Simply outstanding. They really make you feel like a VIP.
The hotel offers a turndown service, something that I have never experienced in a hotel and found a bit odd and not something that I felt that I needed.
I must also mention that the hotel smelled great. From the lobby area to the elevator and the halls leading to the rooms, they picked a very nice smell.
Both rooms that I’ve stayed in were exceptional. The decor was very modern yet warm and inviting. The room was very hi-tech with an I-pad and another touchscreen that enables you to control everything in the room.
The bathroom is amazing. The washlet is in a separate nook with a sliding door. The bathtub/shower area is huge and comes with a transparent wall which you can see the room. However, with the touch of a button, the wall becomes opaque and allows you privacy when showering/bathing. I also really liked the ‘Byredo Le Chemin’ shampoo and conditioner products.
My absolute highlight of the bathroom was the massive rain showerhead and the most incredible shower pressure that I’ve ever experienced. It was heavenly.
Both the twin bed and king bed were very comfortable. I slept like a baby.
The Wi-fi signal was strong and stable. The TV channel selection was good and had some international channel selections as well.
The room had a safe large enough to store my 15” laptop.
Free bottled water was provided daily.
The star of the show is the amazing million-dollar view from the room. Each one of my rooms were at different spots in the hotel, providing different views of Tokyo. Both daytime and nighttime views were incredible.
Although my room package did not come with a daily breakfast, I did decide to have breakfast at the hotel a couple of times. While I found the breakfast to be good, I cannot justify the 6000 JPY price tag. I’m sure that there are guests that swipe their company/personal credit cards and hardly think twice about it but I do think that breakfast is too expensive.
The most annoying thing about my stay was the discovery that visiting the hotel pool/hot tub/fitness room costs an additional 3300 JPY per visit and is not included in the room price. I found that absurd and think that any hotel guest should have access to those facilities for free, especially when you’re paying ~700 USD per night. I’ve stayed at multiple luxury hotels and never had to pay extra to use the pool/fitness facility.
Apart from the disappointment regarding the pricing for breakfast and the pool/fitness facilities, I tremendously enjoyed my stay at the hotel.
It is an exceptional hotel with exceptional service. It was an almost perfect stay.
Would I stay here...
Read moreBeen intrigued to try this hotel since the last visit to Tokyo on Jan 18, even more curious while got tag on my social media, got a plan to visit Tokyo in summer, and I think its a perfect time to try out this truly luxurious hotel.
Location is a little bit hard to find at first as we travel by subway from another SPG hotel in Tokyo Bay and not familiar with Akasaka area, the result is we make a wrong exit and need to walk a little bit more from Nagatacho station, but once you familiar with the maps around the area, it will be very easy to explore.
Never expected to get an upgrade to Designer Suite, been reading many reviews from various site, and it is almost impossible to get suite at this nice hotel, nevertheless, just try my luck cause I still have SNA to spend.
Prior 5 days before arrival, got an email confirmation that my room got upgrade, to 100m2 room, come on, 100m2? In Tokyo, Japan? Real room price will cost me arm and legs, still to this day I still cannot believe it, many plat member just got upgraded to corner room, and its already very huge and comfortable, some more reason for the next few days, the hotel in Tokyo will be very full. Thank you again Prince Gallery for the chance.
Check in is fast, as I think our room is prepared, we were approached by staffs that walk to us to our waiting table, even at check-in lounge you can feel the luxury , staffs explain thoroughly what is the benefit for us, extend the complimentary BF, of course very polite and attentive, and want to make sure that all our needs fulfilled
While entering the room, we are stunned, its really really hugeeeeee, from what I can remember, its the largest room that I every stay, come on, 100m2, in Tokyo? even the bathroom is larger than most Tokyo's hotel room. :P.
This hotel a bit hightech, have a single app on provided ipad to control room's electrical and curtain.
The suite is on the corner, what a beautiful view of Tokyo.
This hotel think of everything, they have charger and cables (lighting n micro usb) provided in the room, even in the safety box, they have power outlet, wow, such attention to detail and need.
Bathup facing Tokyo Skyscraper is on another level, I think I spend almost one hour just to enjoy the view and comfort, did I mention there is a TV in bath up with channel and volume control attached to the wall? so you don't have to worry by using remote control (there is no remote control), it will be wet or fall to bath up, :D.
Club is wonderful, have sufficient and variety of food, a perfect place to unwind, didn't try the swimming pool, just make a quick visit, sure will try on another visit, it will be interesting to enjoy the view while relaxing on the pool, even the smoking room feels luxurious. Smokers like me will feel the impressive and proximity.
Breakfast have various Japanese and Western a la carte menu, they even have AN very beautiful Japanese BF presentation, staffs are all attentive to detail, once in a while will check whether you need something to fulfill your craving, I even watch some staff rearrange buffet food so its perfectly align and make art to the eye, even if there is one dot dirt in the table, which not really visible, they will clean it as fast as possible, that a well-trained staffs. :D
We request for late check out till 4 pm which granted with no problem, it's really sad to leave such a top notch hotel as wife want to do shopping in Ginza area and we move to another hotel. Our check out at Club is swift n easy. 5 thumbs up for concierge team to prepare our luggage for departure, such a good gesture.
Thank you Prince Gallery a very amazing experience, sure will be back on next visit to...
