Arrived around 1330 on a Friday afternoon (it was golden week even!) and only waited in line for 10 mins for a counter table for 1 pax. The staff were friendly and gave me an English menu the moment they realise I can’t speak Japanese - very quick of them!
I was served pretty quickly the moment after I was seated. The staff wanted to explain to me how to enjoy the set meal - but I’ve been here before so I told him I know how this works.
Do note that an extra portion of vegetables will cost you ¥100. I find it odd how rice is free flow but there is a charge for more vegetables. But well it was so tasty I didn’t mind paying for more.
Do note that the only alcoholic drinks served here are asahi and highball. You actually don’t need to order a drink as well since each table has a flask of cold tea provided too.
Overall, a great experience! I believe the outlets located around Shibuya will see a much longer queue. So my 10 minute wait was...
Read moreOur first meal in Tokyo and it has set our bar high for the rest of of the trip. The place is tiny and packed, we sat at the queue for around 5-10 minutes and it was a Wednesday evening 7pm. We knew what we wanted so 4 of us got the 1.5 set each. The meat is tender and juicy, the hot stone allows you to cook the meat further to how you like it. Servers are very polite and attentive, I had the extra bowl of rice which is included. The sauce for the cabbage and the sauce for the meat is delicious, if you eat everything included in the set you will be so full that you will need to walk it off, there is a very nice shine opposite the complex and the area at night is very safe for a nice after meal walk. Don’t expect a nice sitting and it is a bbq grill place so oil and smell will attached to your clothes, an apron will be given to you at the start and use it if you don’t want oil splatter...
Read moreMy disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. If you care about the quality of your food, steer clear of this location compared to other locations, like Akihabara.
I went on a Thursday morning, around 11:30 am. There was basically no line, and the restaurant was nearly fully seated. It is located in the Coredo mall, and can be easily spotted from the directory. Service is on par with other locations, and the menu and pricing seem to be the same as other locations. Most of my gripe has to do with the quality of the food.
Please see the attached photos for reference. I have eaten every item. The amount of fat to meat ratio was ridiculous. Look at the plate!! I’ve never had it glisten to just fat. Imagine paying for a 2 cutlets for the majority of it to be fat. I went to gyukatsu for the beef cutlet, not a fat cutlet. The mochi was also not as firm/chewy as...
