The Comme des garçons store here is terrible. Why does Comme insist on hiring the most hostile, most rude staff that turn business away? Life is short. I don’t need the clothes and I don’t want to look like the staff who make basic wage anyway. It’s really weird that the staff don’t wear a uniform and snobbily wear this season’s garb like they’re somehow better than any customer who walks in. The staff complain about the salary but they do nothing. They stand and idly chat and when a customer comes in, they hover around them like they’re a criminal. In fact, it seems like they hate foreigners buying. I don’t want to look like a staff member and I certainly don’t need to endure bad behaviour for an outfit. If anyone was to steal or damage anything, it might actually be a staff member and not a foreign customer. They were able to afford the plane ticket to come here. If you don’t want people buying or trying clothes, just make a sign and I’m sure people would happily skip this store. And there was a woman who spoke English like that somehow made her superior. Lol. No one cares. A lot of horrible people speak English. Is that an indicator of being a person of value? Please learn to be professional. If you don’t welcome foreign customers and you don’t want to check availability of sizes or make a sale, just make a sign. I don’t need to get abused for a pair of pants. Also, aren’t we in a recession? Don’t brands need business? Yet the staff chase customers away? Make it make...
Read moreWhat a beautiful and memorable experience at this historic Japanese department store! 🇯🇵✨ I came here specifically to purchase Edo Kiriko glasses, and ended up enjoying every corner of the store.
The atmosphere is elegant and refined, and the service was absolutely exceptional at every department I visited:
💍 Ground Floor Jewellery Section – I had fun trying on some adorable pieces, and the staff were kind and patient.
🏠 Home Section – I found the perfect Edo Kiriko glasses. The lady who assisted me was incredibly helpful—she not only offered guidance on the pieces but even helped me download the Mitsukoshi app for extra benefits! The glasses were wrapped beautifully and securely, truly elevating the experience.
🍱 Food Hall – Amazing service! The team was very considerate and even helped rearrange my shopping bags so I could carry everything more easily on my own.
🚖 Taxi Service – Even the staff assisting with taxis were attentive, helping with all my bags and ensuring a smooth departure.
This store truly showcases the best of traditional Japanese hospitality, all while offering a curated, high-quality shopping experience. Highly recommended whether you’re shopping for gifts, fashion, or simply enjoying top-tier service in a classic...
Read moreNot sure what all the fuss is about? First floor is lovely and decorative (as is the outside of the building) but besides that, it’s just a typical department store. Full of elderly people, and way too many staff members just standing around. Baby floor is disappointing, not worth visiting unless you’re in the market for testing out a foreign-branded stroller, but even then, there’s not a huge display. The baby rest room was full with mums with their babies in high chairs - not a quiet place to nurse. They also put some unrelated Autumn pop up event on the baby floor so it was just overcrowded and noisy. Only really worth checking out the basement level for cakes and food - it’s a beautiful, albeit overpriced, selection. Avoid lunchtime - full of businesspeople buying lunch. Honestly, Mitsukoshi has nothing on Harrod’s in London, so I can’t...
