Read moreThis restaurant has quite a high score (4.0 at the time of writing) in google map and thus attracts lots of tourists including me. But once I arrived I noticed that there was no local customers. That is a red flag number 1. It was late and there were not many choices in the area so gave it a try.
Long queue outside the shop and the staff gave me a menu to study first. After a while he came back and I decided to have the Pork rib eye tonkatsu set meal (350g). After around 45min it's my turn to go in. Once I have sat down they immediately started to serve the food.

Read moreIf you’re looking for an authentic, perfectly executed tonkatsu experience, Tonkatsu Hajime is a must-visit. The pork cutlet here is fried to absolute perfection, crispy, golden panko crust on the outside, and unbelievably tender and juicy meat on the inside. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care put into every detail, from the freshly shredded cabbage to the flavorful miso soup that comes alongside.
What makes Hajime special is not just the food, but also the atmosphere. The restaurant feels intimate and welcoming, with staff who are attentive without being intrusive. It’s clear they take pride in what they serve.
Whether you go for the classic rosu katsu (loin) or the leaner hire katsu (fillet), you can’t go wrong. Pair it with their house sauce and a bowl of rice, and you’ve got comfort food elevated to another level.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend for anyone who loves Japanese food, or simply wants to taste...
