Line at the duck ramen was too long, so I thought I’d look around (I’m in Japan, ramen = unlimited options!)
Found this little gem. Small and cozy, plays lo-fi with counter and booth seatings. Staff was very friendly and all the self-service items are stocked and organized.
Onto the food.
I ordered a meal set: hokkaido miso ramen with just chasu and fried rice, and 6-pc karaage. Karaage had a tad soy sauce taste, which is pleasant to me as I do enjoy sweet/savory fried chicken l. Ramen’s broth was just right for me in both saltiness and richness. Additionally, it wasn’t too oily and the soup was served with right temperature. Standard egg noodles and you do need to pay additional for other toppings. However, mashed/minded garlic and assorted condiments are all within your finger tips.

The food came to us straight away and was very yummy. I bought a set and they forgot the rice, but I didn't have room for it anyway. With the GBP/Yen exchange rate, it ended being a hearty meal for a total of £7.00 between us, we'd have happily paid twice that. Arrived at 12am and there was a short queue. I really liked the fact that I could order the noodles in small portion in exchange for a free basic side - I went with beansprouts. Went with the extra chashu miso bowl - the soup was warm and tasty, though not as strong as I'd hoped. Noodles were so-so, and chashu was delicious but slightly cold. Food quality wise just average, but giving 4 stars for the customizability.
Service was friendly and my ramen came in 10 minutes. Overall an acceptable experience. Nothing beats ramen in...
