I've visited quite a number of restaurants in Tokyo for a month and have experienced various levels of hospitality, but Igarashi is truly a standout experience. The menu was prepared in English, and Igarashi team kindly explained each item in detail. I had only checked that 'anniversary' box when doing online reservation, but they surprised us with a bouquet of flowers at the end of the meal. I was nearly moved to tears. I spent a month in Tokyo and visited several famous fine dinings, but this level of experience was unique to Igarashi. Thanks to the chef's hobby of fishing, we were able to taste some fish that are generally hard to come by. Igarashi is Kaiseki cuisine, but the atmosphere was not overly formal, making it enjoyable. What a beautiful experience! We wanted to have an authentic Japanese dinner for our first full day in Tokyo and Igarashi was perfect! We tried so many new things off of their creative menu.
