ILL FROGS — Restaurant in Tokyo

Me and my wife were craving burgers and found this spot through google maps.

The restaurant has an awesome vibe and has a bunch of cool Americana. The staff was very nice and quick to take our order.

I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with Swiss cheese. The burger came out looking amazing. However, when I touched the buns, they were soaked in oil/grease. It made the burger hard to eat and I couldn’t get past how oily the whole burger was.

The burger patty was tasty and the bacon was good too, but the taste was masked by how oily the burger was unfortunately.

My wife’s burger also was super oily and greasy, which made it hard for her to finish as well.

Unsure if this was just an off day or if our burger choices led to more oil being used. The fries were really good though.

I will come back to this place to try again since the place has a lot of food options. I’m hoping it was just an off day since I’ve been looking for a good burger spot...

I came randomly to Chofu for this place in particular and it was all worth. Because it was a weekday there wasn’t too many people, but still the place has this Americana vibe but not taken to the extreme Japanese level. The service was nice and fast. I tried something different and had a mushroom and onion burger, which was very good. I must say it’s been one of the best hamburgers in Tokyo so far. Pricewise it’s the same as elsewhere, ranging from 1500...

This place really showed me that North American burgers have so much room for growth. I've never been to flavour town quite like Ill Frogs has taken me to.

This place is peak. If you're looking for a filling meal near Chofu Station just turn your brain off and come here. Every burger slaps and the decoration here is perfect.
