Was looking for an authentic neighborhood Izakaya and came across this wonderful place on Google maps. Friendly and youthful vibe. The young chefs took traditional food and added subtle but modern takes to create beautiful bites. I wasn’t too hungry so the three dishes in the photo were perfect. Started with the cold tofu with generous amounts of bonito flakes, veggies, and seaweed. Followed by the sashimi plate. Then ended with a grilled fish.

Though I struggled with the handwritten Japanese menus, the chef was incredibly attentive and patient, guiding me to the most incredible chicken liver appetizer. The seafood rice bowl, followed by a hearty chicken soup, was equally outstanding. The sous chef added a touch of humor, practicing "mini golf" with a spatula.
