As someone who adores desserts and matcha especially, I’d been wanting to visit this place for a long time. Most of the items on the seasonal menu were no longer being served during my visit, but still available were the chiffon cake and anmitsu. I decided on the chiffon cake from the seasonal menu and the fondu from the regular menu. I was so disappointed with the chiffon cake - the presentation might be nice, but the cake itself was heavy and dry. The fondu was nice but you only get ONE strawberry - it seemed a little stingy. I had no where near enough items to finish the fondu, so a lot went to waste. You can pay to replenish them if you wish. Basically, this place is a little pricey (as expected, though) and, at least on my visit, I found the quality lacking. I’d still like to return to try something else because I love matcha desserts, but unsure if it’s worth...
Read moreI wanted to try a macha place nearby and found this. It’s a trendy place with tables as well as bar seating. It was almost full when I went there but I was alone so got a place after a 5 minute wait. I tried the rice and soup set with pork and vegetables. It came with fish and tofu with sauce. The soup was very good and the tofu & sauce combination was excellent. I also wanted to try their macha dessert so I asked the staff and they suggested the Namahu and sitratama cream anmitsu. It was delicious. Every dessert comes with tea and you can select which tea you would like from their menu. I tried the Sekka. It was good. The staff was very busy but they took care of me very well. They take credit card. I would love to go back there and try other...
Read moreA very comfortable set up Japanese resturant for lunch set and desserts as well as a great variety of Japanese tea.
There are 2 floors of dinning place. The first floor has 4 tables for 4 people each and a long bench counter for 8 or 10 people. The second floor was even more comfortable and quite spacious. The atmosphere was cozy, warm and comfortable.
Most people take their desserts and Japanese tea. I ordered their lunch rice set of pork and paid ¥300 more for Matcha. The pork set was like homemade food. The taste was mild but delicious. The pork soup in soy bean was tasty. Apart from rice, you can order udon.
It was a good place to meet your friend with a cup of tea. Highly recommended. However, the restaurant limits the dinning time for...
