It's 10:40 Google says they close at 11:30. They are closed. I came down here from my hotel, taking the subway and walking and I can't actually eat here. It's a pretty hot, humid night, and now I have to look for somewhere else to eat.
Edit: I realize this may seem a bit harsh but a lot of people use Google maps to look for restaurants when traveling. If it says you are open till X time and you close an hour before that time you are going to inconvenience people. After finding out that they were closed I sat down on the curb for a second around the corner of the restaurant to look for somewhere else to eat. The same guy who told me they were closed came out and asked if I needed another restaurant. I think he just did not want me sitting there though. I spent the next hour walking around trying to find somewhere good to eat that was open before giving up and getting dinner at a family mart that I then ate in...
Read moreWe didn’t make any reservations and this is the third time full house. But this time, we were lucky to get in after a quick 15 minutes wait. The gentleman was so kind to let us leave them our phone number and called us when the seats are available. The restaurant is specified with horse and duck courses in Kyoto style. We ordered our first class of drink and we got some entrees together which looks fantastic! Smoked duck meat and deep fried duck meat harsh brown.
We ordered horse and duck sashimi and they were perfect!
After that we had the sukiyaki style duck hot pot and they were great!
The Japanese sake was great match with the food and we loved it!

Read moreWe had the Duck Sometimes Horse menu which included e.g. horse sashimi which I have never tried before. The sashimi included also duck heart and liver which were both tasty and interesting but it is a thing that is good to be aware of as this was not in the English menu text. The food was tasty and the quality was great but there could have been even more interesting combos and only one portion included horse. The price of a menu was ¥6,000/person and the drinks were between ¥600-¥1,000.
The service was suberb even though there was a slight language barrier and everything went well. The recommendation for sake was also good and it fit well with the food.
We had a dinner in Sunday evening and the place was quiet so we just walked in. I recommend this for anyone up...
