What a gem! Kingdom is everything you want in a gay bar and more — welcoming, stylish, and full of heart. The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, with a mix of locals and travelers that makes it easy to strike up a conversation. Whether you’re flying solo or with friends, you’ll feel at home here in no time.

The staff? Absolutely lovely! Super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone. Drinks were great too — well-mixed, reasonably priced, and served with a smile.

Music was on point all night, with a good mix of pop, house, and a few guilty pleasures to keep the energy up. And if you’re lucky enough to catch one of their themed nights or performances, you’re in for a treat!

All in all, Kingdom is a must-visit if you’re in Japan and looking for a fun, open-minded, and unforgettable...

DO NOT GO TO KINGDOM – Violent and discriminatory staff

I had a terrifying experience at Kingdom with friends, and I feel obligated to warn others. While we were standing on a public pavement near the bar—not on their property—we were aggressively told to move because “the police were coming.” One of the staff members then physically pushed me and my friends off the street. While doing this, he repeatedly said, “We don’t want poor people at our bar.” This kind of classist and aggressive behavior is completely unacceptable.

When I crossed the road and made a rude gesture (middle finger) toward the bar, the same man followed me down the street, punched two of my queer friends, and strangled me. I have some of this incident on video.

This place is not safe. It is violent, toxic, and discriminatory. I urge everyone to stay far away...

I visited here at 9:05pm on Halloween with two friends. What drew us in was that they have all you can drink for ¥1500. The downside is that it’s only certain liquors + a mixer. I more so wanted cocktails. Tequila was blacked out from the list of liquors and that’s what one of my friends like.

I ended up getting a sex on the beach which was sweet and fruity, which is how I like my cocktails lol. One friend got a vodka redbull and other got tequila and a mixer. One of my friends went back and got a margarita and it was not good. It came in a martini glass. It was strong but sour.

Outside of that, it was a pleasant experience. The bartenders were friendly and engaging. It’s on the cozier side with not a whole lot of seating. There is a few tables and...
