Travelers BEWARE. I booked the executive suite because it’s a huge room for Tokyo and was a great price. I already knew that it was located in a LGBTQ+ friendly area of shinjuku but when we arrived we saw a huge poster of a nearly nude man directly across the street. The front desk spoke no English but we were able to communicate though translator app. The suite is located in the basement and is the only room on the whole floor. As soon as we walked in we were hit in the face by cigarette smoke. The room appeared to be clean but was clearly built as a party room, even with a karaoke setup. Although the hotel assured me that the hotel was non-smoking, there ashtrays inside of the room.
Due to the smoke smell and the party vibe of the room making us uncomfortable I tried to switch rooms and as soon as we got to the 6th floor we were yet again blasted with the smell of cigarette smoke. The room itself smelled of incense and faintly of cigarette smoke. We decided we couldn’t stay and requested a refund which I did not receive.
I also want to mention that Queen Annex is definitely a love hotel. During the probably 30 minutes I spent at the desk I saw no less than 6 couples self checkout… and this was at 1830 on a Saturday (not your normal check out time). One of the couples was even a very old man and a young woman in a short dress….
Please do yourself a favor and stay away from the place if you’re a tourist… unless you’re looking for a love hotel then go...
Read moreI stayed there 4 nights in total, knowing that it is a love hotel from its reviews on the internet. Staff was extremely friendly and nice. They were all speaking English unlike what I read in the reviews before I made the reservation.
If you are a single traveler or a couple, you can book this hotel without any hesitation. Everybody in the hotel, including the other guests were extremely respectful. It felt very safe. Their VIP Room is a must see, with Karaoke, washing machine and the biggest bed I have ever seen. It is in the basement floor without any window, which made it perfect for the overseas travelers to cope with jet lag.
It is great value for the money. We wanted to book the room for our second stay in Tokyo but unfortunately it was sold out on those days. If I visit Tokyo again I will definitely...
Read moreThe VIP room stole my heart ♥️ 70sqm is like a whole department. Fully furnished with everything you can possibly think of. The space is crazy considering it’s Tokyo. The Location is easy to walk to train stations too.But the most amazing thing is how thoughtful and well stocked it is. The attention to details is amazing. I felt so pampered, like being in a high end spa ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Laundry was made easy with in-room washer, dryer and all the necessary stuffs. They even have ice ready in the room! This is literally the most impressive hotel I’ve been to at this price point 😊...
