Many years eating Mexican cuisine in California, Southwest & Mexico this is by far the most delicious experience though it is high-end fusion Mexican/Latin fare and I will always love my staple street foods like La Superica Taqueria in Santa Barbara CA. Innovative flavors and textures like the ‘shime’ dish in stone bowl reminiscent of bibimbap x tortilla soup x sopa de fideo with tarako as Japanese twist - memorable! Our tasting menu was both visually beautiful and delicious with complex and subtle flavors. Carnitas were spectacular. Loved all the tortillas. I have to give credit to the chef who was solo the night we came, but she did an amazing job preparing all the food and caring for all the tables...by herself! As a result, the space felt a little hectic as there were things outside by the door and the interior felt a bit messy, but I assume it was because she was solo.
All in all, it's worth a visit. The only thing I would have liked was if the main dish at the end had more than two tortillas. I didn't want to ask because she seemed so busy, but four would have been more appropriate for...
