Many years eating Mexican cuisine in California, Southwest & Mexico this is by far the most delicious experience though it is high-end fusion Mexican/Latin fare and I will always love my staple street foods like La Superica Taqueria in Santa Barbara CA. Innovative flavors and textures like the ‘shime’ dish in stone bowl reminiscent of bibimbap x tortilla soup x sopa de fideo with tarako as Japanese twist - memorable! Our tasting menu was both visually beautiful and delicious with complex and subtle flavors. Carnitas were spectacular. Loved all the tortillas. Our party of three shared a natural Italian orange wine and then had a glass of Pinot Noir or Syrah with the steak dish. No favorite dish as all were special, no disappointments. The charming kind and knowledgeable female chef was also our server solo in the restaurant on a Monday night. Clearly passionate about the ingredients and execution of each dish. Meal was well paced as perhaps only 1-2 more tables were occupied. It’s a very...

The food was incredible. The fusion of Japanese and Mexican food made absolute sense and tasted amazing. We had the alcohol pairing and would highly recommend.

It’s also family friendly. We took our 8-month old baby for dinner and it was one of very few restaurants of its calibre that confirmed they welcome children. They also ensured the spaces next to us were empty to give us (and other guests) space.

We hoped our baby would be asleep but she was wide awake (jet lag lol) and the chefs were super accommodating. They were interacting with her during courses, and when she was fussy they also offered us a space in the back room to rock her to sleep. You just don’t get that in London at restaurants with similar vibes. It was so unpretentious despite all the food, drink, tableware and interior design...

If I say this was the best mole I've ever had in my life, you might anticipate what is to come next. Yes, the dinner was fantastic, the presentation was beautiful, and the space was...nice. I have to give credit to the chef who was solo the night we came, but she did an amazing job preparing all the food and caring for all the tables...by herself! As a result, the space felt a little hectic as there were things outside by the door and the interior felt a bit messy, but I assume it was because she was solo.

All in all, it's worth a visit. The only thing I would have liked was if the main dish at the end had more than two tortillas. I didn't want to ask because she seemed so busy, but four would have been more appropriate for...

Small but delightful restaurant where you are served directly by the 2 chefs. The food is a fusion of Japanese and Mexican cuisine. Some of the items are really unique and taste amazing. Highlights were the melted cheese over sweet potato tacos made with blue corn tortillas - these were a hit with the whole family. The chicken on a cornbread wedge was also incredible. Dishes pictured are a beef empanada with a beet garnish, the molten cheese tacos, the chicken on cornbread, and the bonito sashimi on a crisp with guacamole (also served with a chicken soup).
