Konaya — Restaurant in Tokyo

Great food. Absolutely fantastic. Entirely what I hoped for. Very, very small. Only a few tables total, and only 4 or 5 people on each. You could fit 10 people together in a group if you put 2 tables together. Smoking allowed, which is annoying, but wasn't that bad in this style of room. Delicious okonomiyaki, yaki-soba, and beer.

Lost a star because the food took a while to come out.

A family was taking up the other table who didn't seem to be eating, just hanging out to keep the owners company. HOWEVER that was outwayed by the lovely family owned and run atmosphere.

I went here with my sister and we had a great experience. The owners can understand and speak English very well and there was an English menu available on which you can point to the number of the dish you want. We had two different types of okonomiyaki and they were delicious. The okonomiyaki is prepared for you but the final step of grilling it you do yourself on a plate in the middle of the table. It was a really fun experience, and it is really well priced, for two persons we only payed around 13 euro. We are looking forward to come back here on our next visit...

I have stayed in Nippori almost every single time I have come to Japan. I genuinely just kept missing this place. In the mood for Okonomiyaki, I noticed the sign outside and gave it a hopeful go. It was transcendent. The lovely couple that ran it. The level of attentiveness in the service. The affordable prices. The wide number of options for a smaller restaurant. And of course- the taste. Everything was beyond amazing. This was my first time here, but it will hardly be my last. 10/10, and a top 3 Okonomiyaki place I...
