We'd been meaning to try this kushiage chain for some time I finally bit the bullet on a frigid Saturday early evening. Location is really close to Shinbashi station but note that it's a little cramped and thin-walled, so it was cold inside and little they can do to shield from the weather outside.
Unfortunately we came when they were hosting a large group. The group was very loud and seemingly hogged the staff's attention. Having said that, the restaurant wasn't full.
The service we received was poor. They have an online ordering system via the LINE app that no one told us about and even after we figured it out, we had to flag them to allow ordering for our table on this system.
While figuring out the bill, we note that their table charge (otoshi) is expensive for the lack of service and what amounted to a tiny portion of plain cabbage.
Additionally, there was some confusion that we had opted for the all-you-can-drink option when we only had 1 drink and were there for less than 30-40mins (most of it waiting for our food, which took longer than expected, potentially due to the large group).
They literally gave us the bill with some questions that we clarified and when we wanted to pay and leave, the person attending to us gave a half-answer and just walked off. We thought he was going to check something but ended up serving other tables. Really strange.
That is not to say the staff are intentionally bad to customers, but they were not attentive or helpful at all, wasting a lot of time.
The food itself was okay. We ended up ordering less than we wanted to due to the service. From what we had tried, we'd recommend sticking to their kushiage, which tasted good and were fair value, and keeping side dishes to a minimum as they're either a bit overdone or expensive for...
