The Tea Pet Bottle Making experience was a lot of fun and definitely a highlight of our visit! It was genuinely engaging and educational to see how the famous Oi Ocha bottles are made. However, I have to agree with other reviewers that getting reservations online, even on weekdays, was incredibly difficult. It felt like trying to win a lottery! They really need to streamline that process or offer more slots.
The museum also has a tea shop which is beautifully set up, selling a variety of souvenirs, desserts, and of course, different types of tea drinks. While the selection was good, I found the prices to be very steep across the board. It felt quite pricey for what you were getting, even for a museum gift shop.

Read moreMy girl friend wants to come here. It is near to JR Shimbashi station. There are a small shop and two museums. For shop, we bought matcha powder cans. For museums, one is by Oi Ocha Museum, anothet by Ocha Culture Creation Museum. Oi Ocha Museum is very small. We finished walking in 2-3mins 😂 As for Ocha Culture, it is 500yen/person, so my gf decided to pay for drinks rather than entering the museum… drinks are ok for me (not bad but not so good). People were ordering “Drinking Matcha Warabimochi”. They said it is delicious. The menu name is too weird for me, so I ordered Matcha Cream Soda. Macha Latte is not sweet, so you need to add sugar if you...
Read moreA tiny tea museum with a paid entry section (500 yen) with a few rooms introducing the history of the tea culture in Japan. It includes a film and a few interactive exhibits. There is also a free section with a small exhibition (currently on the production of pet bottle tea and the use of tea leaves in recycling). A small cafe serves tea and you can also buy tea related souvenirs in the shop. It's very much away from the crowds if you wanted to take a calm break from the city and...
