Little Darling Coffee Roasters is a gorgeous, Instagrammy place that is very hard to find, and if you’re coming for coffee or food, I don’t recommend you bother. After traipsing through a local park trying to track down the dot on Google Maps, I realized I had to walk around the block to get into Share Green Minami Aoyama, a very cool adult playground type of spot in an interstitial Tokyo neighborhood, with a vast faded green turf surrounded by buildings, cabanas, park-y areas, some office buildings, and lots of foliage. . Little Darling Coffee Roasters inhabits a giant, hangar-like space on the northern side of Share Green. Given the beautiful space and good design elements, I was excited to try their offerings. Although it was fairly early in the day, I ordered their so-called Japanese bao sandwich along with my espresso and received a dry mantou containing chewy, overcooked sukiyaki-style beef and a piece of dry tofu - except for a chopped green onion and julienned daikon garnish no other elements were present - and no flavor either. The coffee was seriously over-roasted in the old-school Japanese style, so I gave up on Little Darling entirely, found my way out of Share Green and headed out to Aoyama proper to meet an old...
Read moreI absolutely loved the vibes of this place 🧘♀️ I was quite shocked with how spacious this cafe is and sitting outdoors on days with good weather is highly recommended! But the inside is just as nice too since it looks like a super cute and modern warehouse 🤩
I ordered the iced cafe latte and an egg tart. The latte was delicious and leans toward the bitter side. The egg start was 5/5 stars for me if you can only get one thing on the menu please let it be the egg tarts, you won't regret it 😭🙏 I honestly wasn't expecting much from the egg tart but as I'm writing this review I wish I took a few to go but that's ok since it just gives me an excuse to go back 😆 Btw, the egg tart pairs really well with the coffee (in case you needed more reasons to taste it lol).
Customer service was also pretty good since the staff seemed quite friendly. The beans are roasted in house and if you have any questions about them there are staff members who...
Read moreCoffee and roasted beans are superb! ☕️ You can buy funky little coffee - omiyage bags with different beans that sport titles like “my best friends crush” or “Colombia geisha” :) While the coffees are great, I can’t say the same for the food. It’s not that bad but overpriced. The burger for 1500 Yen was overly chewy and not great -(try the “Burger Revolution” shop one stop away - best place in town!) - but here it’s more about atmosphere and hanging out. The green shop nearby is nice and the place is busy with families with kids on the weekend. Unfortunately chairs aren’t too comfortable for a longer stay - if you can grab any of the lounge / sun deck chairs outside if you can! - So in short: Great for a pit stop for coffee (especially in the summer) - but won’t try to use this place for working on a laptop or...
