Matakoiya — Restaurant in Tokyo

羽田空港第1ターミナル出発ロビー制限エリア内にある立ち食い寿司店を利用しました。国内線フライトに搭乗する前に、遅めの朝食として訪れました。

店舗内にはイスがなく、カウンターのみの立ち食いスタイルですが、近くの共用テーブル席やラウンジで飲食するためのテイクアウトも可能です（空港外や飛行機への持ち込みは禁止されています）。最初はカウンターで立ち食いするつもりでしたが、待ちがあったため、テイクアウトを利用しました。

メニューにはお好み握りの他に、特選にぎり、おまかせにぎりなどのセットや、数種類の丼物もあります。テイクアウトで利用したのは、ホタテ、車えび、大トロ、ウニ、しろえび、煮はまぐりのにぎりでした。

にぎりは全体的に小ぶりですが、ネタの鮮度や味は悪くなく、シャリも小さめながら普通に美味しかったです。経営母体が築地の寿司屋であり、他にも別ブランドの寿司店を複数経営していることもあって、質の高さが感じられました。値段はやや高めですが、ネタの質や空港内ということを考えると文句は言えません。また利用したいと思います。

Located within the secure area of the departure lobby in Haneda Airport’s Terminal 1, this standing sushi bar offers a convenient spot for a quick meal. I visited for a late breakfast before my domestic flight.

The restaurant has no seats, just a counter where you stand and eat. However, you can also get your sushi to-go and enjoy it at nearby communal tables or lounges (note that you cannot take the sushi outside the airport or onto the plane). Initially, I planned to eat at the counter, but since there was a wait, I opted for takeout.

The menu includes à la carte sushi, special nigiri sets, omakase (chef’s choice) sets, and a few rice bowl options. For takeout, I ordered two pieces each of scallop, prawn, fatty tuna, sea urchin, and white shrimp nigiri, as well as one piece of simmered clam nigiri.

The nigiri pieces were small but fresh and tasty. The rice portions were also small but well-prepared. This restaurant is operated by a sushi company from Tsukiji, which also runs several other sushi brands, ensuring high-quality ingredients.
