Misuzu Coffee — Restaurant in Tokyo

This place gives me an instant feel like going back to the 80s. Real cozy, furnished with dated furniture, quite & great ambiance. Stayed for about 2 hours & business is actually pretty good. Menu all in Japanese but speaking coffee language, latte, American, espresso. Everyone understands that. Lol. I assume it sells only coffee coz every table just ordered coffee. The beans are good, strong & no sour after taste. Operated by just a guy, assuming he is the boss. Very friendly & looks pretty experience in brewing coffee. I highly recommend this cafe for smokers because you can smoke from your table (just like the past). Located just 9 mins walk from Ueno Station. Check out my attached map for route. #toast 505 ⭐️ smoking is allowed here. please be mindful of this especially if you’re a non-smoker — located in a quieter area of Ueno, Misuzu coffee is an old-style retro kissaten. I came here on a weekday morning and enjoyed my time here while the cafe was less packed — as a non-smoker, I saw a few families come in and get denied entrance as they had kids that weren’t legal of age yet. The owner / employee seems to speak good English too, and they have an English menu if needed.

Although I don’t smoke, I was able to have a good time as their circulation within the cafe was good. Their toast was very satisfying to eat with thick bread and lots of toppings. So thank you so much for the meal :)

Homey vibe. Neighborhood japan coffee shop with great coffee expert. They allow smoking indoors. Even for cigarettes. So even curtains smell like smoke. It was chill because we were the only table when we entered 10am
