It truly saddens me to say that my dining experience here was disappointing as I really wanted it to be good as this was supposed to be a highlight in my short Tokyo trip itinerary. In hindsight, it was a mistake to go during lunch time when there were a lot of customers. The attention of detail was lacking to say the least. It is not typically to see sushi chef not show focus with a passion in what they do. Soy sauce vessel ran out of soy sauce. Chef was rushing and placed nigiris on my plate haphazardly. Perhaps it was a fluke or a bad day as we all have sometimes. It was evident that the sushi chef was feeling impatient or irritated either due to the how busy the restaurant was or the large number of foreign tourists that didn’t necessarily speak Japanese or understand all the customs. I’d advise tourist to go to other less busy sushi restaurant that doesn’t get as much attention from tourist based on Google map review and have less seating for the one or two sushi chef to be able to serve better quality food...
Read moreAn amazing sushi place! Simple and delicious. We walked in yesterday evening (it's hard to find it, as it's all written in Japanese outside and there are no pictures indicating that this is a restaurant) around 8pm and we found a table straight away (some other people came at 8:30pm and the owner said that the kitchen was already closed, so we were lucky)! We ordered two sets, one of 8 pieces (for 8K yen) one of 14 (for 15K yen) and for our kids the chef proposed to make "easy and quick sets". All of them were very tasty and more than enough! They came with a fish soup for all of us. Watching the chef prepare the pieces was the best part, it's pure art!! The chef spoke English to us and was very friendly and welcoming. Highly...
Read moreI wish I would leave more stars. We booked this restaurant a few days prior via Google and were seated at the counter (which I recommend). We were warmly greeted by the chefs and staff, who handed us an English menu. There is the choice between 3 sets. We both chose the Deluxe set of 7 nigiri and 1 roll, which comes with an appetizer, egg custard and a miso soup, all for 5,500¥. Every single bite was heavenly, and the chef took care to name each fish in English and indicate how to eat it (with or without soy sauce). I added an extra shellfish nigiri in the end, as it was my favorite. We will definitely come back next time...
