Halal Wagyu Ramen & Gyukatsu GYUMON Tokyo Ueno — Restaurant in Tokyo

I had a wonderful experience dining at Gyumon Halal Wagyu Ramen. What stood out the most—aside from the delicious ramen—was their exceptional service. We arrived quite late, honestly just a few minutes before they were supposed to stop taking orders. Many places would’ve turned us away, but the staff here were incredibly kind and still welcomed us warmly. That kind of hospitality is rare and really appreciated.

The atmosphere felt cozy, and the staff made sure we felt comfortable from the moment we stepped in until we left. Now, onto the food—the wagyu ramen was absolutely satisfying. The broth was rich and flavorful without being overwhelming, and the wagyu beef was tender and melted in the mouth. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and care about the halal aspect without compromising on taste.

It feels good to finally have some ramen in Japan. Because most ramen shops in Japan use pork broth, it means they are not halal. And being able to eat halal ramen is quite a miracle.

Since it's called halal wagyu ramen, then obviously we have to try their wagyu ramen. You can choose your spicy level, from level 1 to level 9 (highest). It's funny how they categorised the levels into different nationality groups! Lol!

I came here with my family - Hubby had level 4, my brother had level 9, I had level 2, my son had level 1 and my daughter had the non-spicy broth. The broth is thick, and a little salty but each of us loved the kick of the spice. We added 2 plates of fried gyoza, which the kids loved a lot.

The staff manning the floor was nice but maybe he should hold back on the request asking for people to give good feedback on Google. It would be better to do that when making the payment instead. He made it sound like the restaurant is desperate for good reviews and stars.

In terms of price, it's a little bit on the high side. The location is not that difficult to find, just abt 5mins walk out of...
