I really wanted to give it 5 stars, because I love chai and I really like their menu and what we ordered was good (chai cheesecake and their royal masala chai). I have had this place pinned on my Google maps since forever, and I was really looking forward to going. One of the staff members was really nice and welcoming with us, but the taller one (maybe the owner) was very rude and completely ruined our mood and the whole experience. We love to share the cafes and restaurants we go to on our social media: we have a food guide page where we show our followers all the places we eat at in Japan, so we usually take pictures of the food we order and sometimes of the place itself. We usually ask if it’s okay to take pictures, if there are people in the field of view of our camera. We didn’t, because I took a pic of our order, and 1 video of a side of the room, and then zooming into the chai making action, waiting for it to happen (only the cups and chai being poured was captured), avoiding the people, since their chandelier and chai making were the only things really worth capturing inside the cafe. When we went to get our order, that person from the staff asked “did you take a video?”, we answered yes, confused, and he asked “for what?” in a pretty aggressive way. Weird question. We answer honestly “just to share on our IG for example. Is it not allowed?”. End of the conversation. Strangest thing ever. Just say “it’s not allowed to take pictures here” if that’s the case. We didn’t see any signs stating so, so we took pics like probably 90% of people do before eating at a cute cafe. Clarify what the problem is if there is one. “For what?” What do you think we are going to use pictures of a cheesecake and a video of chai being poured into a cup for? Can’t think of anything illegal. We were definitely not taking pictures of him wearing his mask under his nose the whole time, but maybe that’s what he was worried about. Ask for confirmation if you think we actually did something wrong before treating us like criminals, and properly explain the policy of your business, if any. Apologize if you treat your customers in such a rude way for no clear reason. Otherwise clearly point out our mistake and we will apologize. His tone and face were quite scary and aggressive, so we spent the rest of our time traumatized and feeling like criminals, and we did not enjoy our time. I have never been treated like that at a restaurant/cafe, that was the rudest treatment I’ve ever received. I’m giving it 2 stars because I really liked the food, their concept, their menu, and the other staff member, otherwise I would have given it 1 star. Ahh, we really liked it and I hate to be the one lowering their average rating. I recommend it if you’re a chai lover like me, but beware of possible weird interactions that might completely ruin your day. And I guess don’t...

The store has a white-themed interior with high ceilings and a large mirror on the wall, creating a very open and spacious feel.
The decor is bright, with an Asian-inspired style and plenty of greenery. The large bird’s nest-shaped object hanging in the center is particularly striking.
Though small, there is an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a view of Yamanote Street and the Nakameguro neighborhood, which is lovely.
This trendy café is popular with female customers. It’s perfect for dates, but with table seating available, it’s also great for group visits.
They offer curry, so it’s also a good spot for lunch.
It’s a nice touch that they have seats with power outlets available.
I ordered the cake set for ¥1,100 (tax included). The only available cake was a spiced chai baked cheesecake. There were also drink sets that included donuts, puddings, and other options.
For the drink, I chose the “Royal Masala Chai.” It was lightly sweetened, with a cinnamon aroma and a subtle ginger kick in the aftertaste.
They also offer other variations of chai, such as with soy milk, rum, and matcha.
The “Spiced Chai Baked Cheesecake” is a smooth cheesecake, characteristic of a chai specialty shop. Though you can’t tell by looking at it, there’s a noticeable fiber texture in the mouth, possibly from the ginger, which some may find interesting.
Various spices seem to be used, but the balance with the sweetness of the cheesecake is spot on. If you’re a fan of spices, I definitely recommend...
