Great staff and the room was very nice. We were lucky enough to get a room with a terrace which I was very grateful for. I was also able to get a two hour early check in and two hour late check out but had to pay a fair amount for it. Early check in was 6,000 yen I believe and late check out was 10,000 yen. The only thing that bothered me is that in the hotel information booklet provided it states that they offer shipping services and luggage transportation services. Neither were quite accurate. But maybe that’s coming from a foreigner who isn’t familiar with the process in Japan. But I was told we could not ship our luggage to Kyoto the day that we checked in because unbeknownst to me, I had to request the service the day before my stay. So if you have to stay here unexpectedly, don’t plan on having your luggage shipped anywhere but the airport. And for the shipping services, they do offer shipping boxes that you can buy (S, M, L sizes) but they are unable to ship your boxes internationally or even to another city (Kyoto in our case). We originally thought we could ship the boxes back home to the US but when they said that wasn’t an option, we asked if they could ship the boxes to Kyoto for us and was told they couldn’t do that either. So I’m not really sure what kind of shipping services they provide aside from offering boxes for purchase. Lastly, the hotel tv information channel gave information about how to contact a doctor through some kind of service provider. I had lost an important medication on our trip and was hoping to find a doctor locally or even a telehealth doctor that could help. But when I asked the front desk if they could help me use that service, they were very confused. I finally asked if they had any recommendations for a doctor and was given a map where they circled a location. But searching the information online, I could not find anything mentioning a doctor in the area marked on the map provided. It was likely due to the language barrier and not entirely their fault. And again this could all be due to us not fully understanding the way things work in Japan. Aside from these things the hotel and staff were very nice and the room given...
Read morePerfect in our eyes. Location was fabulous -- on a quiet street far enough from the hustle bustle and noise, but close enough to main streets and Shibuya station (unless you have luggage). The quiet street had lots of restaurants to choose from, and there was a sizeable grocery store right across the street. Very very convenient.||The staff were very friendly and helpful.||Our rooms were very comfortable. The girls were supposed to get the larger room and the boys were to get the smaller room. However, upon arrival, the larger room had a strong smell of moth balls. As it was late and we were tired, we didn't have the energy to ask for a different room. The boys tolerated the smell (which lasted our entire 5 night stay) as it was important that the rooms were right next to one another. One of the duvet covers did have a sizeable dried pale orange water mark on it though. It looked like it had gotten dirty after being laundered.||Having a washer/dryer in the room was heaven. We did a load of laundry every night. ||The dining table in the room was so handy to have. We used it as a desk and to eat breakfast on. The grocery store across the street had everything we needed for breakfast and snacks, and there was also a 7-Eleven around the corner for other breakfast items.||The smaller room did not have a separate toilet room but the larger room did. ||I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again...
