Review of Moriichi Kinshicho Termina II Store
Last night, I stopped by "Moriichi" in Termina II directly connected to Kinshicho Station on my way home from work. Despite it being a weekday evening, the restaurant was full and I had to wait a bit, but was seated after about 15 minutes.
The counter-only seating arrangement gives you a great view of the sushi chefs' skillful hands. Being able to watch your sushi being prepared right in front of you adds to the unique enjoyment of conveyor belt sushi.
I started with classic tuna. They had both bachi (fatty) tuna and bincho (albacore) tuna, both fresh and delicious. Then I ordered my favorites: kohada (gizzard shad) and iwashi (sardine). The delicate flavor of the kohada was especially exquisite.
One of the attractions is the wide variety available - engawa (flounder fin), buri (yellowtail), kampachi (amberjack), aji (horse mackerel), saba (mackerel), and more. The salt-seasoned octopus was particularly impressive - I usually avoid octopus, but this was exceptional. I asked the staff for recommendations, and this was definitely the right choice.
The restaurant is lively, but the chefs' energetic greetings of "Welcome!" and "Thank you very much!" along with their smiles created a pleasant atmosphere where even solo diners can feel comfortable.
Being directly connected to the station means you can visit without getting wet on rainy days, which is also convenient. I absolutely recommend this place for anyone wanting to enjoy authentic Edo-style sushi casually in Kinshicho. Next time, I'd like to go right after opening when it's less crowded so I can savor the experience more...
Read moreI recommend you to go only if you can speak fluent Japanese. The food is nice, it's not expensive, but you will need to speak fluent Japanese in order to have a nice meal at this place. Just like other commend says, the vibe is nice and the making of sushi from order is also very fast. What made me give 3 stars is that I was ignored by the chef. My Japanese is at a basic level and after ordering my first and only Raw Octopus (生ダコ), the chef started to ignore me, and the variety on the belt is not that much, I only ate a few plates and left. It was quite a bummer, and tore down my whole willingness to speak and practice Japanese in my...
Read moreI have an excellent experience here. The sushi was super fresh and very delicious. The only thing missing was some kind of english manuals. I could only eat from the plates on the circle but the locals ordered all kind of different delicious things which the chefs made explicitly for them, I wish I had the chance to get some of them too but it is not possible for none...
