For the price, the food here really isn't bad. A lot of the plates were 120-190 yen whereas the same dishes at other places would be 200+ yen. We came on a Monday right at opening time (11am), and there was already a line.
This doesn't feel like the cleanest restaurant, but it's decent enough. The staff is friendly to tourists and gave us an English menu when we sat down.
The chefs put out a good supply of dishes on the conveyor belt. The sushi is pretty basic -- nothing too fancy (e.g. plain seared or raw fish nigiri, octopus nigiri, crab salad gunkan, etc.). The sushi did have a bit too much rice for my liking, but the rice was cooked well (not mushy). Overall, the food had decent quality and seemed fresh. The fish slices were a bit thin, but for the price, I really shouldn't complain.
Overall, this is a great place for affordable...
Read moreEnglish, chinese and korean menu available. Extremely affordable and fresh. Most of the sushi were melt-in-your-mouth fresh. Otoro and botan prawn were priced at 125 yen too. Unbelievable. Sushis on conveyor belt were fresh as well. What touched me was that the chefs were really sweet and kind. Noticing that I do not speak Japanese and am unaccustomed (also incapable) to the culture of shouting out my orders, they constantly turned to look at me and tried to make recommendations (by gesturing). This is very rare in non english speaking japanese. I was so moved by their kindness. Highly recommend this place for both quality of food and hospitality. The time i was there i did not see any other foreigners. Place was constantly filled...
Read moreProbably the best kaiten sushi I've been to (and I've been to a lot!) The 15' wait was super worth it. Affordable, fresh and tasty sushi, a favorite among locals. Limited English, but they can give you a menu and you can point and ask for what you want. If you know some Japanese, however, things are way smoother and more "local". I tried like 10-12 different options and loved them all! I recommend going for aburi-geso (grill squid tentacles), aburi-unagi (grilled eel), engawa (flatfish) and any kind of tuna, but they are all so good. And the actual conveyor belt has lots of things to pick too; recently, in most of the kaiten sushi I've been too, the belts were empty. 10/10, would recommend and will probably go...
