OreRyuSio Ramen — Restaurant in Tokyo

Delicious but for some reason not as good as the Shibuya Maruyamacho location. I ordered the Oreryu Lunch special. The server seemed extremely annoyed when I asked for my soup to be spicy. Seems like I ruined her attempt at omotenashi since I didn't wait for her to ask me the questions in her script (chicken or pork broth? Gyoza or karaage? Firmness of noodles? Rice or extra topping?). She also seemed to have assumed I couldn't converse in Japanese as she went ahead and asked in broken English if I wanted chicken or pork (while her body language screamed of 'I'm extremely annoyed by the presence of this non-Japanese customer'). Still I think it's a victory given all those establishments who refuse service to us foreigners in Japan. But next time I crave Oreryu Ramen I'm having it in Shibuya where the staff were always friendly and...

Tonkotsu ramen is insanely delicious. The noodles are a bit thinner than how I like them but ordering them super firm solved the problem for me. I think the soft boiled egg could be better as it was a bit solidified but still a tasty egg.

The soup is an easy 10/10 for me which is the most important part. Its rich and heavy, right amount of garlic and spices. Chashu was also very delicious its nice to see they put the harder parts of the chashu as well since it compliments the soft chashu so well.

The staff was lively, polite and inviting which is very essential. Atmosphere is nice and there are bunch of spices and sauces available free of charge.

I will be frequenting this place from now on. Thank you for an amazing...

Short review, first time I've ever left 80% of my ramen in Japan. Find something else.

Long rant review : Bland fake watery milky "special tonkotsu", soft noodles even after asking for hard boiled (katame) and even worse a minute later. Chashu wasn't super bad, but dry and unsalted but normally soup evens this out.

Even chili oil on counter was bland. Weird condiments on counter also, think one was garlic but it was green.

Don't trust reviews, hey go to Hakata Tenjin just before this shop instead.

Should have known better as it was empty on a Monday at 9 pm.
