Food was okay, interesting in the beginning, got better towards the end, but it took way too long for each dish to come out, especially considering the price and the number of people there (like 3 parties actually with ongoing orders and 2 just chilling drinking coffee). Servers were nice.
Food and drinks:
Not sure about the olives and kale chips. Bruschetta was solid. Not sure about the cheese and crackers. Focaccia was delicious. Pork was tender but the richness would benefit from a more acidic sauce. For the oyster pasta, pasta itself was good, though the fried oysters were oversalted and the noodles were swimming in sauce. Food itself was passable for the price, but it really was unbelievable how slow they came out. We started at 8:06 pm and finished our meal at 10:45 pm - with only 5 dishes ordered for 3 people.
The hakushu whiskey was good but unfortunately too diluted with the soda water.
Music:
This is personal but I feel the vibe did not call for uppity rap music, especially when you’re hungry and waiting 20 to 30 mins for a dish.
Restaurant layout:
Way too packed, high chairs don’t feel comfortable when you have to sit and wait for 3 hours.
We paid 27k yen total. We will not return...
Read moreThe sister branch of Cignale Enoteca, just 300m away, in case if you never get the luck to make reservation for the seats of Cignale then you should have Panevia as a back-up choice. It is a tightened up space with no more than 10 counter seats to enjoy watching the chefs cooking (you can learn more if you pay more attention watch them cook). It is setup more like a wine and food place, so that the food here are all easy to go with wines. I totally enjoyed watching the chefs cooking, the easy laid-back but no BS cooking style, and most important they are capable to deliver top-notch cooked food to you. The food are definitely sourced from the BEST, you can easily tell. Panevia of course has top quality Pane (the bread) they self-made on order, it comes out to your plate so hot and so fresh with so strong yeasted aroma. And the handmade pasta are just superb, and the pasts deserves more appreciation for it. And I would definitely give solid credit to the seafood they cook, becasue they recognize the full worth of the food. But Panevia is never the same height as Cignale Enoteca in my opinion, it will always be the back-up choice...

We did their set menu and it was fresh and delicious. We sat on the counter so got to see them cook all of our fried from scratch.
Their Eggplant, bread, and pasta were exceptional. Their salad seemed Mediterranean influenced and was very delightful. Lastly their pork was one of my favorite dishes in my time in Tokyo.
Service was great - they were receptive to us when we wanted to chat and also gave us our alone time when needed. One of the chefs was taking pictures for the customers and he even moved the lamp so it won't be in the picture, and also so to provide better lighting for the picture.
The only downside was that the restaurant was quite small (9 for counter top and 2 tables), but that actually seemed common for Tokyo.
Overall - very delicious and would definitely...
