Passage Coffee — Restaurant in Tokyo

I was originally skeptical of Passage Coffee's pricey aeropress single origin since I use an aeropress everyday at home and thought, how much better could it possibly be?

I am extremely pleased to say I was definitely proven wrong -- this was an amazingly vibrant and unique cup of coffee crafted with meticulous skill and efforts by baristas who really care about their craft and apologize for my presumptuous doubts.

The single origin Colombia coffee almost felt like I was drinking a juicy cup of wine as alluded by the friendly barista who gave me a rundown of the flavor nodes before serving me. The ambiance of the shop in itself is a bit small, but cozy enough to enjoy casual company with a friend or alone.

Would love to come back and try more of their different single origin...

Exploring the charming streets of this area, we serendipitously stumbled upon this delightful coffee haven and decided to start our morning here. As someone accustomed to the high standards and rich coffee culture of Australia, I was pleasantly surprised by this gem, especially after enduring a lackluster experience at Starbucks the day before, courtesy of friends. Unlike the overpriced disappointment served by Starbucks, this place offered a genuine coffee experience.

The ambiance was incredibly inviting, embracing a minimalist aesthetic that added to the overall charm. The coffee itself was exceptional—fresh, bold, and expertly brewed, rivaling some of the best I've tasted in Australia. The last time I walked by there, it was full and I could not get in, but I guess it was just a little time difference, but it was almost empty and I was able to get in easily this time!
