Celebrating my 50th birthday at Plate Tokyo was an unforgettable experience. As a frequent diner there, I chose it for its excellent food, great wine, English-speaking owner, and welcoming atmosphere—perfect for both adults and children. Plate Tokyo once again exceeded expectations.

The food was exceptional. Adults enjoyed beautifully crafted dishes paired with excellent wines, while the kids were treated to a thoughtfully designed, healthy menu—far from the typical “kid menus” of instant fried food. This rare attention to detail ensured everyone could enjoy truly excellent meals.

The owner, who speaks fluent English, brought her signature warmth and professionalism, going above and beyond to accommodate us. However, as a large and lively group, we acknowledge our noise may have inconvenienced other diners. This was entirely on us, not the restaurant or its owner, who handled everything with grace.

Kids running around screaming and leaving the front door open. Total chaos. Kids decorating a birthday cake at one point in the middle of the restaurant dropping icing all over the floor. The food was fine thanks to the young man chef but everything the woman owner was involved with was terrible and the atmosphere was so distracting you could not even enjoy the food. The wine was supposed to be pared but she could not figure it out. Plus she served Australian orange wine as if that was inventive and not lazy. We should have stood up and left as soon as we arrived. Waste of time. Waste of money. 0...

A definite must go if you like a fusion of French Cuisine with a Japanese touch, great selection of wine and a cozy atmosphere.

Ayano (the chef) is very friendly and her dishes are very creative. Tastes you'll probably want to experience several times (I've been there twice already in a span of two weeks and going back soon ;).

Last but not least, I gave this 5 stars, because the price and quality of food, rarely exist like this in Tokyo and Ayano's skills will not go unnoticed for sure! One...
