It was a long day and a little chilly, so some ramen sounded good. Had the black ramen, fried chicken and a highball here. It was actually my first bowl of ramen since moving to Japan about 2 months ago. This was by far one of the most welcoming and friendly places I've eaten at yet! My japanese is still terrible so the staff made sure I got what I wanted and took real good care of me. The first refill for noodles is free as well!

Definitely my most fave ramen spot in Japan. Black garlic ramen bowl was incredibly delicious!! We felt so comfortable there. The staff was friendly and everything tasted so homely. A lot of passion and love in their cooking. Also had fried chicken and fries! Can also recommend. They deserved all stars of the world. (No waiting line and we could pay with credit card)

Love this place, always eat here when I come to the APA just up the road. Easy to order with a new machine with English, plus the service is just warm and authentic. The ramen is delicious and rich, I always get the Gatsun special and a beer which comes to a little over 1000 yen. Love it!

I was questioning it at first, because I never used a ramen ticket machine before, but it ended up being simpler than I originally thought. There was a lady that works here, she was very helpful and could speak a good amount of English. She showed us the English menu and how to use the machine. After which, we sat down and got greeted by the owner, he speaks English well too. The food was great! I got the all included combo with the bamboo shoots. If you want more noodles it's free, all you have to say is 'kaedama'. Get the highball drink too, it's the...

Honeslty this place has got to be one of the best ramen spots I had in my trip around Japan. Staff were fantastic and very inviting to all people, food was fantastic I could not believe I ate 3 bowls of ramen my first night there. Very cosy atmosphere and great to just sit down and relax. Payment was confusing at first with the ticket machine but staff helped me and my wife, and we got the food to our table faster then expected. Overall ramen gatsun is a must if you want to dine in the Ryogoku area of Tokyo. I hope to be back there as soon...
