【2025年8月上旬再訪】

社会人なりたての頃から通っている、吉祥寺駅南口側の、駅前の中華屋さん。

今年で、57年目とか。非常に頑張られているお店です。

ご承知のように、吉祥寺は、店舗の流出入が非常に激しく、名店と言われる店でも、10年間継続出来る店は僅かです。

それを、57年も継続している、ということは、どう言う意味がご想像に難く無いと思います。

そのような生き残りが難しい街の中で、継続しているのは、強力なファン層がいるからでしょう。

社会人なりたての頃から訪問して、現在でも、このように吉祥寺の駅でわざわざ当店訪問する為に降りています。

当店のメニューの中でも、わたしが30年間食べ続けているのが、この写真のチャーハンです。

オイスターソースを隠し味に使ったものですが、昔、シンガポールで育ったわたしには、非常にフィットする風味なのです。通常は、醤油、塩、砂糖、化学調味料、あとは、ニンニクのミジン切り、長ネギなどが味付けのメインになりますが、オイスターソースを加えることで、エキゾチックな風味が加わります。

子供時分に、そのような風味で育ったわたしには、やはり、当店のこのチャーハンの味付けは、特別に、愛着が湧きます。なので、お店の暖簾が掛かっている限り、わたしは吸い込まれて入っていきます。

今回も、美味しく頂きました。昔から営業されている、店長さんに挨拶。お客様がいなくなった後に、少し、世間話をさせて頂きました。

最近は、人件費高騰もあり、ワンオペに近い状態で営業されている上に、消費税の支払い等で利益捻出もかなり大変な模様。

このような街中華屋さんが、営業継続しづらい、経済政策は如何なものかな、と思ってしまいます。

色々と思いを馳せる中での懐かしい、街中華のチャーハンでした。
