Super underrated ramen experience! Hidden away in an alley away from the crowded streets of Harajuku! Wanted to give this a try as we enjoyed its branch in Singapore and this was mind blowing! I had the limited edition tan tan sauce ramen and it was AWESOME. I've to be honest and say that we weren't expecting much because the shop looks pretty run down and was quite empty when we visited but boy, did the old man running the store served up some magic. Highly recommend to sit by the counter where you can see them prepare the ramen behind the scenes. From the skilful cooking of noodles to slicing up the pork cheeks. The ramen noodles were cooked perfectly aldente and complements the soup beautifully! I'd even say that I enjoyed this much more than Ippudo. A must visit if you love...
Read moreBe prepared to wait.....however, it's so worth waiting. I am a Ramen lover. I can never find a good shop outside of Japan. I waited an hour and a half. ( if you know me, you know I don't like waiting for many things). This shop doesn't disappoint it's small only enough room for 8 or 9 people at the counter, that's why the wait. You will pay by vending machine as with most Ramen shops in Japan. It takes about 2-3 minutes once seated to receive your order. The flavor is clean and delicate. I see why they received a Michelin star. The noodles were not too thick, the egg was cooked perfectly and the soup was a symphony of flavor. Truffle isn't a traditional flavor used for Ramen soup, but it worked well. I can't wait...
Read moreWe quite enjoyed the ramen here and we loved that it was sort of tucked away in the back alleys. We were looking for a place to eat and just stumbled upon this ramen spot and decided to give it a try. We had the gyoza and two different ramens + side order of the tamago. The service was quick and our food was delicious. It’s a small shop so it’s mostly bar seating + a table or two outside. If we are ever in Harajuku again I’d be happy to eat...
