I visited Bills Omotesando for brunch and overall had a very memorable experience.
📍 Location & Ambience Bills is located on the 7th floor of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku, which offers a nice view over Omotesando / Harajuku. The interior is airy and modern, with large windows, clean lines, and a casual yet stylish feel — the bookshelves along one wall add a cozy, homey touch. The terrace overlooks the rooftop garden below (Omohara no Mori), which is a pleasant bonus.
🕒 Wait & Service This place is very popular, especially for breakfast/brunch. Expect to queue, particularly in the morning. I waited about 15–20 minutes to be seated (off-peak), which is reasonable. Service was friendly and polite, though there were a few moments of delay between ordering and food arrival.
🍽 Food & Drink The menu has a broad selection of brunch-style, Western-inspired dishes. Some highlights:
Ricotta Hotcakes (pancakes): This is their signature dish and for good reason — light, fluffy, with a golden crust.
Full Aussie Breakfast: generous portions with eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, roasted tomato, toast, etc.
Other menu items: The non-pancake offerings are solid — for example, their chopped salad, avocado toast, wagyu burger, prawn linguine, and pavlova.
Beverages: Coffee was good; juices are fresh.
One caveat: the timing can feel a bit off (in some reviews the pancakes arrived notably later than other items) , so order accordingly if you're in a rush.
💵 Value Prices are on the higher side — typical for a premium brunch spot in Tokyo. But given the quality, atmosphere, and signature dishes, it feels justifiable.

💡 Tips for Future Visitors
Arrive early (just after opening) to beat longer queues.
If possible, request a window seat or terrace table for the view.
Be patient with timing — food may not come all at once.
Try something other than pancakes too — the non-pancake menu is worth exploring.

Read moreI made a reservation and stated I was coming with two babies, myself and another adult. In the reservation notes I wrote I wanted to sit at a table with a high chair or a table that would be stroller accessible. However, even after I arrived and the staff member saw that I was with my baby, they directed me to a booth table which would be impossible to sit at with a high chair. My reservation notes obviously weren’t adhered to. I’m not really certain what the staff member was thinking since it was clear i couldn’t sit at that table with a stroller or high chair and in the future the staff members need to consider asking mothers with children what type of table would be appropriate (even though I requested an accessible table prior).
Finally we were taken to a table where we could comfortably sit all together with high chairs for the babies but this was only after I said I couldn’t sit at the booth. Bills in general has great food but it’s really overpriced for what it is. This time I ordered the pancakes and they were quite good but nothing like western pancakes. They had the same texture as the typical fluffy pancakes you’d find here except the flavor profile wasn’t as boring and eggy as you might expect. Still not as spectacular as I had been hearing. Ordered side avocado for the babies and a cafe latte double shot. Price for coffee, pancakes and avocado was over 3,000 yen though which to me was excessive. Why isn’t there a drink set? You will pay at the table and our waiter let us split with two cards. One good point about this Bills is that they do have multiple high chairs and child seats available, there’s places you can park your stroller and the building has a nursing and changing room on the fifth floor. Overall mixed feelings about this place with children but if you’re looking for a posh place to brunch Bills...
Read moreSadly, this is our second try and we won’t be back. Fresh and tasty Western breakfast dishes are vastly overshadowed by a poorly run operation.
Prices are too high (2700 yen will get you a breakfast platter, 800 yen will get you a single scone, and 2000 yen will get you avocado toast which is more for Instagram then for eating as its format makes it impossible to pick up or cut on account of the stiff bread). You can’t book same day reservations online, so be ready to wait in a long queue to be seated in a restaurant that never feels like it’s full. The service is terrible (and that’s saying something, this is Japan after all!) and the food will not come out in any sensible order. Drinks after meals, appetizers after meals. Avocado toast 35 minutes after all other entrees, even the pancakes which they disclaim take 20 min to prepare. To add insult to injury, they were having refrigerator issues this time which meant they weren’t serving any of their breakfast cocktails or homemade juices. They were also out of several menu items, which was only learned after we tried ordering them… each to a disappointing, “Gomen, we’re out of that today too.” — for what it’s worth we were eating at 9:00am on a Saturday, 30 minutes after they opened.
There is no quality check, sadly a common issue in Japanese restaurants, the servers job is only to take and submit the order … not to ensure you have your food, that it’s right, or that you’re enjoying it (that’s the no-tip culture for you.)
We gave it two shots, and felt it warranted to warm future patrons that this won’t be an enjoyable experience even if the food...
