Read moreI had the displeasure of attending this establishment this week. It’s a shame because I was a regular customer. After today’s incident I realised I’ll never go back.
Firstly you’ll see in the picture how little was poured into my drink. I was immediately taken aback by that. 925 yen just to have half the cup missing and after waiting 30 minutes in line I was very displeased. Secondly, I took a sip of it and it was the most horrific matcha I’ve ever tasted and as I said I come here regularly. That’s what sent me over the edge and I went to tell the barista something wasn’t quite right with the drink.
Because it was closing time they were obviously tired and could not give a dang about me and just wanted to close. I get it, I worked in service industry too. But we were taught every customer matters. They clearly did not get that lesson. I told her it’s not right that it was half full and she made some excuse that it’s the fault of the oat milk ??? And just kept making excuses until I pressed her to make another. They were very moody about this and treated me like trash as if it’s my fault. The second drink they made was better, but still something amiss. It was the same girl who made it so clearly she needs more training. The whole experience left a very bitter taste in my mouth - literally and figuratively - and I won’t...
Read moreThis place is a cute tourist place nothing wrong with that. I ordered frozen matcha with less sugar (it says you can do this on the menu) and they gave me a half-filled drink. It was ¥940 yen lol. I saw the girl pour it in to the cup from the blender and say to the other staff in Japanese “I made a mistake” (間違えちゃったんだ)when she saw how small it was. They talked about what to do for a minute before one staff took it and gave it to me in English. I said to her in English this is a bit small isn’t it. She said “it’s because you ordered less sugar”. That’s crazy lol. 😂😂😂. In what world is liquid sweetener take up half of a matcha. Why would she lie to me. Just make it again. She obviously thinks I’m a dumb tourist who doesn’t speak Japanese. I guess I am coz I let them scam me rather than say anything because I didn’t want to cause a fuss. As soon as I left I was like “oh, she obviously lied”. I think this place is fine but don’t let her lie to you lol. It’s probably a one-off coz it’s such a strange thing to do. I’m still drinking it and it’s not even blended. Huge chunks of ice. So hard to get this so wrong and so easy to fix. I can’t come back and I will never forget how I let...
